Rolf Harris dead

A long time ago, I saw him in a pantomime where he sung Jake the Peg... Was brought on stage and he drew Bugs Bunny and signed it for me. Thankfully I wasn't on the receiving end of the "extra leg".

Think that picture is still at my parents house in the loft. Might have gone up in value now he's popped his clogs, 1 pound.

saville even with the benefit of hindsight seemed very creepy and odd.
Harris didn't give off that vibe which probably helped him getting away with it for so long I suppose.

Completely this. I never really watched Jim'l Fix'it because he creeped me out as a kid. But I used to be an avid watcher of Rolf's Cartoon Time on the BBC. Used to love that show not only for the Loony Tunes shorts but his drawings in between. It feels so dirty and wrong now knowing how much i used to like him not knowing what he really was.

Fun fact:

I met Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris when I was a child and my mum worked at the BBC. I also played multiple gigs with the Lost Prophets in the early 2000s

Paedogeddon
I remember reading the Ian Watkins court case a few years ago and feeling sick. What was said on the news about his crimes pales in comparison to what he actually did. Truly horrendous.

Guy deserves to hang.

I am amazed that no one saw through him.
Maybe I am paranoid, but people who constantly hide themselves behind a blanket of humour, even in serious situations, make me deeply suspicious.

I feel sorry for paedophiles. I mean, what a terrible straw to draw in life. But, bad straw or not, they MUST keep their hands to themselves. Anyone who touches a child inappropriately should die in a way that sends a strong message to anyone else who might be tempted to try the same thing. Saville? Rot in Hell, scumbag. You too, Rolf. You pair of disgusting *******. Oh, and consider yourselves lucky, had it been up to me, you would have gone with a lot more pain.

Remember the Louis Theroux programme with Saville. He kept his mother’s clothes 23 years after she passed on. That’s one creepy thing

There’s a lad in my school year who has been banged up for 16 years for paedo, child porn, under age sex etc.

We couldn’t find anything weird about him when looking back

One of my ex managers down here was busted in a sting, trying to meet up with a 13 yr old, that's the thing he had so much respect and was the last person you would suspect, the sting ended up on YouTube,he just got a slap on the wrist

Robin Williams must have had your Spidey senses on fire...

How? Either you know for a fact or you're slandering someone.

People don't wear their crimes on their face and the most dodgy character you've ever seen can be an honest law abiding citizen.

There's stereotypes that are traditionally pushed that bad people look ugly or act weird but they're lies for children.

Plus most abuse happens in their homes by somebody they know.

Agreed, all the other ones who got busted had a hint (or total stench in Jimmys case!) of wrong un about them. Rolf was your friendly old grandad doing good looking after the animals on animal hospital or teaching kids to draw :(
Yeah and there's probably all sorts of dodgy people around who will evade suspicion forever. There's probably numerous ones that come across very well as kind and friendly. Sadly the behaviour of people like this means that shadows of doubt get cast across any men that work with children. At my son's nursery, there used to be a male carer. My wife and I thought it was good to have a male influence in the room, but I remember the local facebook group having some post where a prospective parent was basically saying they wouldn't send their child there because one of the room staff was male. Obviously it's their choice where they send their kids but it's a sad state of affairs when people are are just taking blanket approaches like that.

As a younger child I [thankfully?] didn't even really know that this sort of abuse was a thing (innocence of youth I guess), it just wasn't talked about.

It might be seen as weird but doesn't necessarily mean they are a sexual predator. My mum died over 30 years ago and I still have a Mars bar she bought me.

I remember reading the court case after he was found guilty, and the things he did I couldn’t even say out aloud.

Your paranoid and not been in the military.

There was definitely something wierd or not quite right about Saville that was hard to pin down what exactly the charity and other stuff he did did a lot to hide his intent and influence public perception

I was referencing the post about Saville.

I mean, the man was an utter creep. Did it mean he was a paedo? No, but it sure did make me suspicious that he was hiding something. People who can't stop joking, like him, are always hiding something. Maybe not even criminal, but certainly something they don't want people to know about. Was it a huge surprise when this all came out? Not really. The scale of it was a surprise, though.

Your paranoid and not been in the military.

Eh? Please explain further!
