Royal International Air Tatoo 2010

I will be setting off tomorrow afternoon for RIAT 2010. It was a really good show last year and with the proposed line up this year it looks to be even better!

Had lots of exotica through my sector today at work. 2 x Dutch F16s were a pain but the 7 Swiss F5s in tight formation that appeared as a single radar return were impressive.

Can't go this year but I always say that you should do a good air show before you die. Unless you get up close you cnnot appreciate the sheer magnitude of the engineering acheivement.

Ah i shall watch it all from my bedroom window again :D.

Side note, the Red Arrow where flying over Shrivenham Military College today, Graduation day there. On my way back from work I saw a swedish Saab, and yesterday i spotted a Tornado. Havent seen much else at the moment because of the weather. Will update you guys if i see anything special before the weekend.

Why didn't waddington have an F22 the other week:(

DO WANT

edit: no vulcan at riat though, fail?

Saw those F5's at Waddington the other week. An impressive display and the commentator is absolutely nuts! :D

Edit : Actually the ones I saw were the Turkish F5 team.

I haven't been to an airshow for ages. I remember sitting in a Eurofighter in 94 or 96 when I was a kid and they had just come out.

Think I could blag a do in a F22? :D

Went last year and really enjoyed it. The amount of people that got up and walked away from the runway as soon as the Vulcan was over was incredible!

I do like the vulcan but....its a bit of a one trick pony..the vulcan howl is cool but you don't always get that.

No ticket buying for me....going to watch it free whilst supping cold cans and flipping burgers on the bbq.....all from the tranquil surroundings of my Mums river boat moored on the Thames just outside Lechlade:D:D:D

Not the same experience though...and i like to support the RAF charities and pay to watch.
