RTX 3050 - starting at $249 (msrp)

Damn, sounds like it is an issue with them then :(. I am going to keep troubleshooting software wise, but if no joy, i will ask OCUK for an RMA. I dont like the idea of having it set to max perf all the time and using lots of electricty as i use my PC for many other things other than gaming.

I too think it is the card and not anything software related as i ran my 1050Ti in the exact same machine with no issue.

Thank you for replying/ letting me know

Hi all,

Has everyone received their RTX 3050 orders from January please? I know that when asked previously in this thread they should be delivered by the end of the month was the response, and that stance hadn't changed when subsequently re-asked mid-month, but I haven't received mine still. No problem if it's delayed but if this can be confirmed when it (roughly?) should arrive that would be great - especially as you very quickly billed me almost 5 weeks ago for it :-)

Cheers,

Rob

I've gotten no update and my order time was 14:00

Interesting thread just read all of it from start to finish today lol.

Missed out on the RTX3050 for £229.99 deal might of been good enough until prices get back to normal maybe in 2023.
Looking at £500 Strix 6600XT or £630 Gigabyte Pro RTX3060Ti to replace my 1050Ti but prices are still way too high yet, no rush can wait have my gaming 1660Ti laptop and Xbox S.

Just as well wait for next Gen GPU cards now.

I got a bit sick of the noise of the Palit 3050 when it ramps up in speed. I managed to get a Corsair H55 pretty cheap, so have now added it to the 3050 using a Kraken G12. Was a bit of a faf as it's not really designed for this card, but got there in the end. I've not bothered with the 80mm fan as it wouldn't be blowing onto anything.

Runs much quieter now and the temps are in the 30s.

Peak 2022 - being forced to run an RTX 3050 under water to keep noise and temps down.....

Yeah thought that Palit 3050 would be a noisy GPU card, my air cooled system can't hear anything got look for the power light to know if it's even switched on, CPU temp idles around 33c and gaming is just as quiet.

Don't want a bloody noisy GPU card spoiling things like it cool an quiet, or the need to wear headphones while gaming lol.

Nice rig Bug One very colourful and good job cooling your noisy 3050.

Hi there

Just a quick update on back orders left:

Gigabyte Eagle = 26 remaining back orders (NO ETA for new stock yet)
Inno3D Twin X2 OC = 13 remaining back orders (15 are overdue sine mid February, no update from courier, potentially lost)
Palit StormX OC = 36 remaining back orders (NO ETA for new stock yet)

Those waiting on the above, keep an eye for other lines coming into stock and potentially consider changing your order.

With the War happening in Russia/Ukraine at present it is possible allocations might further improve for UK/EU as stock gets diverted from Russia to our regions so my advise is to continue holding at present as with any luck more stock will come to the West now.

Looks like you're right - there are three threads on the Nvidia forums about it now.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/486962/rtx-3050-freezing-issue/
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforc.../5/486855/rtx-3050-crashingfreezing-randomly/
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforc...ul-experience-with-the-zotac-gaming-geforce-/
Some of them have done an RMA but the problem persists.

I was one of the lucky few to get the Palit 3050 for £240. However now I don't feel too lucky because the fan is faulty and the card needs replacing but I'm told the card is now EOL. So I can only have a refund which would be ok but my old card was faulty and long gone so I'd be without a card.

Shouldn't Palit be reparing it or replacig it with the nearest equivelent model? They still sell the OC varient which is physically the same so they should have spares to replace the fan or just replace the whole card with the OC version.

EDIT
Also I'm told depending on how long I have the card the refund wouldn't be a full one, so it effectively isn't a full warranty, on a brand new card released just a month ago! This doesn't seem right.

@Gibbo What are your thoughts on this, can you help?

Hi there

The card has failed within 30 days, return it either for a full refund or return it for repair / replacement, Palit will I am sure ship more stock this month and with the current War I suspect more stock will come the way of UK/EU so I would hope to see some more shipments on 3050's incoming soon, it is always harder with the more basic none OC models as the board partners never focus on them because they make a lot more profit on the OC models.

What? That sounds ridiculous. OCUK or Palit should be replacing it with the nearest equivalent model they have. Not giving partial refunds!

It looks like mine might be going back to due to the freezing at idle issue. I won't be accepting anything but a like for like/equivalent replacement.

Hm seems like a manufacturing fault with them then.

Exact same issue. Not a single crash under load, but will randomly cause a display driver crash when doing something light like Web browsing.

or you`ll get your money back which is how consumer laws works.

That wouldnt be so bad. I was taking objection to the partial refund thing.

Although, even a full refund in the current climate is a bit of a **** take. Many people might have already sold their old cards after getting one of the RRP 3050's, so if Palit/OCUK just turn around and say "sorry no replacement card, just a refund" you are a bit stuffed.

So I can get a replacement? That's what I thought but support are telling me otherwise https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/rtx-3050-issues.18948201/

...I've raised an RMA so we can get the graphics card back, unfortunately it seems that Palit have marked the graphics card as end of life so we won't be getting anymore in stock. Due to this I've marked the RMA down for a refund...

...I don't see that we have the OC version in stock but we would only be able to offer that as a replacement if it was at the same price as you originally paid.

...Palit wouldn't issue us with a replacement fan so you could swap it over I'm afraid, the repair would have to be carried out by Palit themselves for the warranty to remain valid. However, as the GPU has been marked end of life they would only issue us with a refund.

...I don't have any other graphics cards in swap that we could replace it with unfortunately. We wouldn't be able to offer a full refund later down the line when the fan dies completely I'm afraid, depending on when you return the GPU back to us we may only be able to offer a partial refund.
