100% guaranteed. The times I've been I've sat in the open stand that goes along the side of the pitch. The stuff I hear is hilarious!

Being a Fez head it's not unknown for us to **sometimes** 'disagree' with match day officials but the Barrff fans do take it to a whole other level don't they.

Rugby all the way!

A proper game, not played by a bunch of pansies who fall over screaming in fake agony anytime anyone comes within thirty feet of them.

A quote from The Enquirers Oracle (circ 18?? summat):
Football is an inane and barbaric sport which should be avoided at all costs.

I do (avoid it that is)

[edit] Actually I better qualify that, PROFESSIONAL football SUCKS, Amateur football doesn't[/edit]

Football (soccer) is a pansies game.

For me it's - Hurling > Gaelic Football > Rugby Union > Rugby League > Egg and spoon race at the local primary schools sports day > Football (soccer)

Football without a doubt.

And of the two rugby codes, I prefer to watch league then union, but both are way below football.

Just because you dont understand league, dont knock it.

Genius! Egg and spoon race can be pretty tough mind. Especially when parents get involved.

Rugby Union all the way here :)

If I had to choose between the two, rugby (or rather - when I had to choose between the two, saturday football or saturday rugby, I chose rugby!). Much as like the hustle and bustle of footy I love the physical & technical contest of rugby much more, nowt more satisfying that seeing the look in one of the big guys eyes when they think they can run through me before being hefted up in the air and dumped on the ground

Played in Cornwall so about as far from toffs as you can get, the camaraderie and friendship after the game was about a gazillion times better than footy where everyone sloped off straight after the game after hurling insults at the other team and spending half the game swearing at the ref, the other players and their own players.

That's just how I found it though, I don't think either sport is 'better' than the other, just different appeals for different folks, still enjoy kicking a footy around and playing in the odd game here and there. :)

As i have found with rugby, I have broke a blokes ribs, then bought him a beer and said sorry, with that everything was ok, no vendetta or bad blood.

Another thing is, you can go to a rugby match and sit and watch it with a pint of beer and a foot long hotdog. You just can't do that at a soccer match because the ruffian fans are too thick to accept that someone might choose to support a different team.

As a game to watch I'd have to say I prefer football but as noted the fans in rugby seem often to be better behaved and there is less 'aggro' which helps the enjoyment. I do like to watch rugby but I've never understood League at all, it seems rather like rugby-lite, maybe I need to put in a bit more time watching it though.

Rugby, it's more dynamic, a more complex and interesting game. Whilst rugby rewards commaraderie and team play, football supports those who steal the limelight and glory.

Ultimately, Football consists of boys, playing for 90 minutes, pretending they're injuredm Rugby is a game of men, who play for 80 minutes pretending they aren't.

I'm too hungover to argue in a more animated way.

Ant
