***Rugby Super League XXV***

Nothing between Sts and Wigan for Friday. Hope its settled with something spectacular rather than something controversial. I love GF day in normal times, but I just want to see the back of this season tbh

Congratulations to McShane - Man of Steel.

Anyone watching? Back watching after not bothering for a decade and really enjoying it.

You chose a good time to watch again. What a final that was, well done both teams. What a finish.Being a Saints fan I’m glad they won but it was so tight, great defence from both sides, either side deserved it.

Yes, saints fan here.

Was an amazing game and both teams would have been deserving. Bring on next year!

Kinda hoping for York City Knights to get the nod today. I don't think they will be chosen, but I think they really have gone about things in the right way over the past few years. You could say that about Toulouse and London also, Bradford and Leigh, perhaps a little less so given recent financial difficulties.

Looks like Broncos are agreeing a move to share AFC Wimbledon's new Plough Lane ground. Maybe they think that'll swing it for them.

Possibly, but YCK's new stadium looks lovely. I kinda feel as though they deserve the chance. I think the RFL have to rethink expansionism a little bit now maybe. For me, its between Toulouse (to give Catalan a local fixture at least), York - so much good stuff going on behind the scenes there, especially with new stadium, Bradford - just cos its Bradford and to be fair they draw a big crowd, or London - cos of no other reason than "expansionism".

You do have to wonder if its going to be a bit of a death sentence for any of those sides though, they would be so far behind in recruitment for a SL capable squad.

Which is why they'll probably give it to Fev :p

Meh, Leigh.

Ian Laybourn summed it all up perfectly..."Probably the most logical choice, but also clearly the most unimaginative, follows the decision to turn their back on Toronto".

I have no doubt by writing that that I've just written their team talk for every single game next year.

Just a small town in Wigan :)

Unimaginative, but the safest bet with things as they are. I was hoping for Toulouse or London, but they would have definitely gone straight back down. Toulouse could do with a rich backer, but I do think their time will come. Leigh's squad needs a bit of a boost (and Wigan would be looking to offload some players (Mitch Clarke, Chris Hankinson etc)) but its got the dpeth that Toronto didn't have. However few games they win next season, one is guaranteed to be Wigan.
