Rules regarding swearing

I just need some clarification in regards to suspensions and swearing, yes i was suspended a few weeks back and rightly so i broke the rules. However there are a number of people that have sworn but the word remains unedited and it only contains parts of *** and videos containing the odd swear word. At what point would you see a video as an automatic suspension or a warning, as it seems now any video containing a swear word and the members panic " you better remove that ". For example in the storm thread a guy see's a massive tornado and actually say's the s word. Would it be better if a video contains the odd swear word then it should be tagged in the post as NSFW and contains swearing ?

There are so many you tube video's that have the odd swear word i mean if you saw a lightning bolt in front of you, wouldn't you swear? :)

All i ask is clarification
 
The thing I don't understand is that I cannot say (I hope the mods actually allow this...) 'fricking' instead of the 'f' word, yet i can use 'wtf'.

The first is apparently a disguised word, yet the second is not even disguised, we all know what the f stands for.
 
Simply replacing some of the letters in a swearword with a * or any other character is not acceptable. If you must then please replace the whole word with ***** or other repeated character.

I think the rules are perfectly clear. It's up to you as an adult to make your judgement as to what is and what is not swearing.

As for YT videos we would remove them if found to be offensive in any way.

True enough, but you cannot allow one person to swear but not another, nor can you remove a video because it contains a swear word but keep another one up. There are many storm videos that i'd like to post but i cannot because it contains swearing or for example a tsnumai would you not swear seeing one coming towards you?

and then the rest of it was star'd out, however that is grounds for suspension or atleast a warning it was left alone.. I agree that it is us as adults to make our own judgment but being that we are human my judgment may differ from another adult down the road.

Suppose you have to look at other things, context in which the word was applied, were you reported and others who used the word were not were not, that kind of thing. Cant imagine that moderation is simple ban without thinking, always seems ballanced in general.

What if my entire family didn't find it offensive but a don does?, would i be ground for suspension. At what level would you find a yt video offensive, is it the swear word being used or amount of times?
