It's in France, they can pay his wages and there'll be much less pressure. Ideal for when he's thinking of retiring but wants to spend a couple of years at a club in his home country.
Might i suggest that, if you do give the boot to Wenger, you look into old Woy Hodgson?
He's mighty fine at steadying the ship, as long as he's given enough time. His teams play attractive football and will grant you many epic away wins to the likes of stoke city!

And I can see no reason why top teams wouldn't want him, you've just named teams that have no reason to change managers currently. There's no reason clubs like the big Italian teams/German teams wouldn't be interested in him

LOL Woy is a good manager but more suited to the lower end teams...i wouldnt want him as manager of Arsenal either.
Tbh no one can still come up with a suitable replacement for Wenger, if he should go or be pushed out...at the moment hes the best we have and as much im fustrated by our lack of transfer activity...im hoping he comes good and does sign a few players who will make an impact for us.
I think Hodgson is a good manager, but I wouldn't mind seeing him at Arsenal. I certainly think he's a better motivator than Arsene.
But like you however, Wenger still has my backing. As you say, he's not going anywhere else soon so we may as well get behind him and the team. People are right to be confused and agitated by the current state of affairs, but turning on the manager so early in the season is not productive.

As above Wenger still has my backing and I've said since the end of last season that I would give him until the end of this season to show what he can do under pressure. He's left it ridiculously late, but if he gets the players we need and then we go on to have a respectable season I'll be happy. If we buy nobody, crash out of the CL and finish 6th then I'm going to be more than a little narked.

No but if say tomorrow those teams decide to sack their manager. Wenger wont be top of the list of candidates to replace.

I believe making Van Persie captain is an error too.
The captain should be Vermaelen!
I reckon the only reason why Van Persie is captain becuase Weneger thinks he is the player most likely to feel unsettled at Arsenal, so to tie him more in to the Arsenal cause make him captain.
Its exaclty what Wenger did with Cesc, and that was a mistake too.
Szczesny is brilliant tho!
At last we have a decent goal keeper in goal.
Head and shoulders better than De Gea!
