Russell Brand.

Apart from the fact that Trump was found liable for a very specific thing (which I can’t remember right now), the Civil court case is useless in my eyes. Because It has a lower requirement than a criminal case.

well let’s see what becomes of those other cases which aren’t sexual assault so I’m not sure why you brought it up.

Ah so when a jury says that they believe its more likely that the person sexually assaulted someone than they didn't, that is useless in your eyes. So all civil cases are useless in your eyes. Good to know.

I think we have a Trump fan here. Roar will keep you company.

Is it me or has the BBC given Russell Brand more coverage than when Putin threatened the UK with nuclear weapons?

Quite possibly, but one is actually newsworthy, while the other is the kind of stupid, empty threat we've come to expect from tin pot dictators. The former will drive traffic for weeks; the latter will get a paragraph on page 4 if it's lucky.

Nobody cares about Putin screaming into the void about nuclear war when we know that's never going to happen, just like we don't care about that fat little idiot in North Korea who threatens to end the world in a nuclear apocalypse every month.

I think any bloke that has had that much "contact" with women like he has will have one or two skeletons in the closet.

I hope for his sake it isn't just some contentious situations that someone is trying to make a quick buck over.

I'd probably feel the same too if I was sat in Adelaide, interestingly though it was massive front page news and we do spend billions of pounds a year maintaining a nuclear deterrent, governments take nuclear threats rather seriously. Apparently just not as seriously as some baseless accusations of sexual abuse against a millionaire celebrity from 15+ years ago.

Check out the DM, being the DM...

Oh but wait, let's look in the article itself, maybe there's an easter egg...

However, Kristen later admitted that she 'loved' working with Russell on the film.
She acknowledged: 'I may be the only woman in the world who would shout that from the rooftops, but I did.'
And there it is.

There seems to be a lot people that think as he believes in the same conspiracy's as me it must be a deep state attack by the WEF, paedo-lizards, Big Pharma, Neoliberal Establishment, Postmodern Marxist Deep State, Matrix, etc

Good example

People need to have some actual critical thinking skills and decide for themselves based on the evidence

I don't think it has however I suppose we just live in a world where a woman is more likely to be sexually assaulted or raped than nuked (and this is also one way of encouraging victims to come forward and report assaults).

We also live in a world where merely an accusation is enough to ruin a mans life

Still front page news.

I guess floods, earthquakes, bully XLs and scumbag police officers don't quite get the clicks they used to.

I must admit I did find it really annoying how when anything happens to the Royal family it spends the top of the news for a whole week

Also I find it quite hilarious how in 2023 we have a world where so many people online are using alternative sources of media for content consumption, yet they feel the need to complain about what mainstream media is showing. Have people heard of getting a life

If you flick through some of the rags the stories are starting to get desperate this morning. "Brand called me a name" is one of them. They'll try to keep it going until the weekend when one of our fine "newspapers" will have a tell all from a victim. I fine no value in gossip. I'm surprised so many here do.

Perhaps you aren't at the part of the bell curve you thought you were for "enjoyment of gossip" :p

And isn't this thread the perfect representation of why?

900 posts in 3 days. How many posts have been made about the flood in Libya or the earthquake in Morocco? From what I can see there's 1 oblique reference to Libya (in the "it's too hot thread') and nothing about Morocco.

People are free to discuss what they want, obviously salacious gossip is what gets them going.

To be fair, that is the Daily Mail what do you expect!

What's funny is there are a number of threads on here where someone mentions moving in with a girlfriend after a few months, or a girlfriend getting involved financially, only for 90% of people to say "omg don't trust her she's just after your money"
