Russia continues to blame Ukraine, saying the terrorists came from Ukraine and tried to get into Ukraine to escape, Russia vows retaliation

Bizarre claims, because the terrorists are Tajik nationals and ISIS-K operates out of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan - all of which are Russias friends, but because the terrorists came from Russias friends Russia has to blame Ukraine and the U.S. some Russia news also claims the CIA helped support the terrorist attavk
Their lies and theatrics are what got them into this mess, not believing US intel of a pending attack. Its a decades old practice that have got the people of Russia absolutely nowhere on the world stage.

They know nothing else

The gremlin in the Kremlin is nothing if not predictable. Control the narrative, spin the lies. Wouldn't be surprised if the captives appear on russian TV in future making statements blaming Kyiv with suspicious looking bruises on the face.

Nothing to stop them handpicking Ukrainian prisoners and sticking them up as the culprits

By that explanation, would agree or disagree with the following:

If ISIL's ideology does not align with Islam then they can claim to be Islamic state, instead folk should call them out for what they really are and that is terrorist scum.

The ultimate point I am trying to make is that not everyone is as knowledge as you and others on here. So they see Islamic terrorists and instantly make the connection with Islam and all Muslims following a faith that spreads hate and death which is so very much detached from reality.

Daesh needs to be very carefully defined and understood within and outside of Islam, sadly ignorance isn’t exclusive to either. If I’ve learned anything it’s that extremism just breeds more extremism.

Yea, with ISIS coming out and claiming responsibility that's his "it was Ukraine/NATO/The West"'s propaganda down the swanny

Quite telling in a way, obvs part of it is motivated by them wanting to use it for propaganda purposes but also partly they're open to blaming Ukraine as an attack like this is something they'd perhaps be happy to do themselves ergo it can seem plausible (to them) that Ukraine may have been involved.

We keep ramping up the escalation notch by notch.
How long until the warmongers in this forum might admit to saying hmm maybe we should have pushed harder for peace, mushroom cloud?

This doesn't seem to have anything to do with the West or Ukraine.

Oh dear, just seen the latest toll, the last I’d heard was yesterday when it was only at 14.
I saw some of video footage and it was very bad and very calculated. There were gunman literally walking around the theatre firing single shots into people to maximise the amount of people they could kill from the ammunition they had with them.

Gotta hand it to them it was hella clean.
They had obviously been planning it in detail for quite some time.

Given Russia's form for this, it's entirely possible this was orchestrated by Putin. I don't suppose we'll ever really know but Putin has used false flag terrorist operations to justify his actions in the past.

It honestly would not surprise me if he turned a blind eye to it, so he could later use it to champion his cause.

Soft target to be fair, if Russia had an ounce of sense they would have taken note of the USA warning recently and you would think the FSB or whatever they are called would have at least a few reasonably well armed agents at every very large gathering like concerts or other large events in and around Moscow. They would have come under fire and it would have been a much tougher task.

Very soft target most likely with minimal security and the Russian security services being rather more busy rounding up people who didn't vote the right way, or were protesting peacefully.

Russia has a lot of security services and an awful lot of them are armed from memory, but they seem to be far more concerned with keeping the boss in power than any pretence at protecting the public.

Pretty much. Russian security services are in place to protect the state, not the people.

The Russian security services and judiciary are great for curb stomping a few hundred peaceful protesters at the whim of Putin.

Putin saying that data shows Ukraine offered them safe passage across the border is worrying

It's so bizarre, doesn't seem to realise that in claiming that he's also admitting that they can't sufficiently protect their own border during a war.

So much cope in trying to blame Ukraine for this when the US warned him on March the 7th and ISIS has literally admitted to it.

As Putin made a statement yet?

He dismissed the intelligence warning from the US, allowing terrorists to strike at the heart of Russia.

Putin saying that data shows Ukraine offered them safe passage across the border is worrying

Yep -

"They tried to hide and moved towards Ukraine, where, according to preliminary data, a window was prepared for them from the Ukrainian side to cross the state border."

Nothing like capitalising on disaster to further his cause, regardless of how bewildering it may be.

Sure Mr Vladolf. Who opened the Window to allow these armed ISIS fighters to cross from Ukraine into Russia then? Zee Germans?
