I would be shocked to the core if the perpetrators were followers of Islam.
Shocked!
Shocked!
Wise words from this Professor:
I'd like to feel some level of sympathy for them
But then I see what they do to Ukraine daily and go meh, karma.
Especially when they have been having a Hamas love in.
I'd suggest it's because you've dehumanised 'the enemy' so much that you don't feel anything when there's videos circulating of groups of people desperately scrambling for escape, while Islamist terrorists stand there deliberately shooting round after round into them.
The Russian people are still people, most of them are just trying to survive under a violent dictatorship, or believe the barrage of lies fed to them every day.
It's crazy to me that the people in this forum who talk the loudest about Russia don't see the irony of comments like yours, you lack objectivity and are fully invested in your ideas, with complete lack of nuance - just as badly as the worst 'Vatnik'.

I think you can feel both.
You can feel on a human level the sympathy and horror for the individual innocent civilians who have been killed in a terrorist attack
But then also not have much sympathy towards the Russian state when it collectively starts bleating about 'woe is me' and how atrocious killing innocent civilians is.
Well yea, it is, so maybe have some introspection about what you are doing to your supposed "brothers" next door.
I am the first one to admit that I am mostly ignorant of the situation, but it seems to me that you can't send out a message of peace while blaming the other side. So no, I don't think it is a wise statement at all.

Probably hols a grudge over Russia's involvement in Syria but it is rare to seem them going after other terrorists like this. What do the IS terrorist want in Russia?
Didn't take you long to jump on the wagon and victim blame.Well Russia and Russians have been murdering civilians on a daily basis in Ukraine for over 2 years now. No shortage of misery Russia causes for people in its own borders who don't consider themselves "Russian" and don't want their lands to be in the Russian Federation and those in neighboring countries that Russia has ground under its boot for generations. I'm amazed there aren't more attacks like this.
Just for the record this is satire.Wise words from this Professor:
It's tragic what's happened to those people but when I think about it and what Russia has done in places like Syria and attack like this is a long time coming given how many of these sort of attacks hace occured in the WestmDidn't take you long to jump on the wagon and victim blame.
