Indeed it doesFrom that picture it looks like the Tecpro (sp?) barriers have done very little and he's speared under them and into the metal railing!
And the railings appear distorted which would suggest armco impact which is very bad newsOnly just noticed on the pic that there's armco in front of the railings which is level with the cockpit! That's not good
hopefully the front crash structure of the car has protected the driver as it should.
Well they're reporting "provisional good news" which is promising.
Even though the car has clearly gone into the armco and even the railings behind, hopefully the front crash structure of the car has protected the driver as it should.
Nevertheless, that's a shocking failure of those barriers and questions will be asked.
Hasn't it already been confirmed that telemetry data showed no braking issues? Perhaps i'm mistaken but it was suggested that even though DRS was closed, it may have done so a little late which has unsettled the rear going in to the corner.Locked front left, either Sainz's fault or some kinda brake failure, turned him into the wall, broke the front tire/suspension, rear left slapped into the wall and broke as well, complete passenger up to the impact.
