Looking at the photo further back in thread there is a pretty solid metal barrier behind the techpro. The impact pushed the techpro back into the metal barrier and it would have nowhere to go but up. If the metal barrier wasn't there would the techpro just have slid backwards and the car not go underneath?

Exactly, no one likes working with someone who shoves all the blame on you. It's not good for business or business image, no one to blame but yourself. I really hope another rich company comes in and buys both teams.

Tost says he won't let Sainz race even if he is ready, something along the lines of taking care of the younger drivers.

He mentioned the tire in the way that indicated he was surprised by the slower tire lap this year being faster than the fastest tire last year. He forgot it was medium/soft last year and soft/supersoft this year.

It would be absolutely standard for a soft tire lap time to be faster than medium, it's only surprising if like in most tracks you have the same tire both years and have gained the 1-1.5 seconds to the slower compound.
