Rust - multiplayer survival from the creator of Garry's Mod

I've heard players mention it but haven't seen anything about it on trello or from official sources yet, I may have just missed it though

It will be nice if it happens as the advantage is definitely on the side of the raider at the minute

Rust every time. Have played WarZ, Nether, DayZ(mod and Stand Alone) and Rust. DayZ is only marginally better than WarZ or Nether. In its defence DayZ looks real pretty, but movement and control is clunky and not very intuitive. They have greatly improved the inventory system in dayz stand alone from the mod but it just feels awful trying to run, walk open doors etc. frankly I'm genuinely shocked how people find it fun, but each to their own.

Rust just feels so much 'easier' to play and get to grips with.

yes I think they were told it was lubster, and were trying to find him. Didnt stop them just raiding your base though just now.

FYI I think they have relocated are are near Hanger
 
Is this game more complete than DayZ Standalone? I haven't played any of these survival games and wouldn't mind getting in to one.

I've never played DayZ but everything i see/read about it says its still too buggy to be worth the money. Hoping Rust might be better.

FairPlay to them, any idea which building they did?

Everybody on the server is just gonna keep going through their house every night so no biggy :)
 
Not sure, but AirGuitar was killed a good few times in the process. Another N1B as well I think.
 
Well i havent killed anyone on the server, have been friendly and tried to help noobs out despite being killed in sleep.

Got my base back and been doing well, got a friend to come on the server too. Now i just let some naked guy in and geared him up only to get shot by him 'dave' something. Nate and co were there too.

So it seems you literally just have to kill on sight, no wonder so many people do it, until now i have been able to avoid most trouble. If i carry on playing on that server i think i will just have to KOS too as cant keep losing everything i spend hours working for.
 
Nate was recruited some help it seems, "Big Dave" was it? They are KOS everyone to farm their $'s for airdrops, also a bit matey with the Russians I think.

I didn't know you lost half your cash in death to another player.. I don't think there needs to be yet more reasons for KOS antics though. Can that be adjusted?
 
BigDave is his name, they are ex pro CSS players apparently so are serious head hunters especially Nate, he never misses heads can watch his stream here twitch.tv/natebreh

I mange to kill him yesterday with a bolt action but he doesn't mess about, everybody I speak to on server who has come across him has been one shotted

I can change that yeah, also can put airdrop price up if there's too many of them, we set the server up to be helpful to new players and give them a chance to enjoy the game but a few people on steam are telling me Nate and co are ruining everything but there's not much we can do as they are just playing by the rules.

Might be time for a big ocuk meet up and raid them back

pro css is nothing to brag about. Thats the game people that couldnt handle quake used to play ;)

Next time i will just shoot them.

As it stands, that will just motivate them to farm more peoples $. Doesn't matter how wiped out you are, a half dozen airdrops will sort you out, which is what they were doing all day.

Maybe stop letting $ be farmable from players and see if that helps with the KOS, but to properly sort them out would require them to have to start from zero on a daily basis. A lot of effort though, and as they don't seem to have jobs it may be more trouble than its worth..
 
Meh I hate streamers, I would ban him for streaming without approval. My privacy is violated now ;)
 
Is this on N1B server? I did see lots of griefing from BigDave, especially against those who said they were noobs and wanted to play the game instead of constant deaths. BTW, I don't kos if you see me around, but if you guys are after a hunt, I'll join the posse too. All the game needs is some horses and we can gather a posse like in the movies.
 
I watched for a bit while they raided an N1B house, not very exciting, but fair enough play. But then they kill a couple of new players on the way home full of loot, who immediately log off. Shame, as Nate and co didn't even have room to loot them.

At least the stream shows where there base is, but I must say they have a ton of stuff there considering they were cleaned out less than 24hr ago....

Lol, ex pro CS players? Checked his stream and it says:

"I am currently in the team NoFrills (nate-,disgrace,mercy,inme,alice-).I have played with CSGO teams; BBoMM, -rasta-, NoFrills and a few more."

I haven't played competitive CS for years but I still know that none of those teams are remotely near 'pro' level.

EDIT: Hopping on this now for the first time, someone hook em up with an IP where OcUKers play! Cheers
