You can use a Hatchet to break down a wooden door which takes about 2 minutes.
But to break a metal door or a wooden wall (or better) have to use C4.

I was killed in my sleepI have yet to find my base again after re-spawning to assess the damage.
I respawned and was then killed by a group of people with machine guns.
I'm guessing by nateDAWG and co, they tried ripping the server apart yesterday raided quite a few people then came at us with 40+ c4. Got nothing but they have been on the server again most of the mornin killing anything they see! He says they are ex-pro cs players so we might have to team up to ericate them from the server
Apparently they themselves got raided at some point lastnight though
I need to go back and see if anything is left of my base. Unfortunately, since I only stayed in that part of the map, I don't really know the way back. Luckily I know the direction based on the sun rise/set, so I should be good.
I basically spent the whole weekend playing Rust with my mate Mark.
Initially when I played this game I wasn't sure about it. I played with Mark for a few hours and we got as far as getting a small wooden shack in the hills and just some basic supplies. Every time we logged off we were raided as we didn't have metal doors. So we took to logging off with all of our stuff on us (non sleeper server) to keep it.
Over the weekend we hit the game hard and built our hut up but still only wooden doors. We had some internal doors so that it would take a while for people to get to our storage boxes only to find them empty. Went out into the surrounding towns collecting loot and slowly building up. I finally got to the point where I had just built a basic shotgun which I was excited about
We were all set to go out for another looting session. As I stepped outside BOOM! dead. Mark quickly closed the door and ran up to the roof and started shooting at these two bandits that appeared. They were much more tooled up than us. Unfortunately both my guns were outside on my dead body so I just had a bow.
We had a rotation system going where he would be shooting at them, then when he died I would go up, loot his body and take over. Eventually one of the bandits started hacking through the exterior door while the other circled round trying to get us. So we ran back to the safe room and pulled all our resources out of the storage chest and then logged off!
We logged in an hour later to find that these guys were so annoyed that they had hacked through 3 wooden doors to find nothing that they had locked us in with a metal door! This is the moment I fell in love with the game
We spent a while trying to glitch our stuff through the walls to land outside but couldn't do it. In the end we dropped all our stuff on the floor and committed suicide. The equipment will have disappeared after a while so they won't have gained anything from it.
We then set off to find a new location for a newer and better house. We now have a mini fortress with gates, wooden spike barricades and lots of exterior and interior metals doors. We've gone for a different "balls out" approach this time. We're out in the open but well defended. We're quite well established now with machine guns etc.
The next step for us is to try and get some explosives from a supply drop. Unfortunately we've not had much luck so far. They seem to nearly always drop miles from us. We got to one which didn't have much in it. The other one I got to one someone flew (yes flew
) in and took everything before flying away again. I shot them a couple of times but didn't get a name to report them for hacking
I am loving this game. Just need to somehow convince 'er indoors I should be playing it tonight as well

Was going to buy this game, until i saw how badly the game is filled with hackers.
Shame really and its look like great fun.
All depends on the server and how well admined it is. I banned 4 this weekend without them having chance to cause much damage to anybody

Yeah will be a fun week, I'm guessing they will think its us but I'm assured it wasn't, was told it was thelubster and his crew! Fair play to them

Just google Rust CD Key, there are loads of comparison sites now.
Cheapest I could see after a quick google was here http://www.gamekeys4u.net/477-rust-early-access-uncut-steam.html for £11.59.
Haven't used that site before so can't comment on its reputation, but the majority of them are pretty good now.
Might pay to check Kinguin as they often have the best deals.

There is a thread somewhere with a list of CD sites that are ok. My search is failing to find it, unless it was part of the "great forum cull of 2013".
I can't say I have ever heard of Kinguin though.

Well I just used them, soon as I hit pay I had an email with link to the gift for Rust. So I would use them again based on that.
