Rust - multiplayer survival from the creator of Garry's Mod

I think we are changing the economy thing tonight guys, not sure what to exactly but got yo make it harder to get supply drops. And not to take half of people's money when you kill them so hopefully will stop the new spawns being killed so much. Probably gonna have a word about the griefing aswell as I hate that

My steam is going mad with people moaning about these guys
 
I think the 10k is fine, but cash should be earned from PVM not PVP, as that seems how it's being overused right now. This would still give new players and solo players a chance at airdrops they wouldn't otherwise have.

Plus these pro-gamers (lol) don't seem to bother with PVE right now as it's more rewarding to kill players for cash.
 
How's about taking c4 out of airdrops because that is all they are after, all c4 would have to be crafted and farmed for instead of needing money for guaranteed c4 in airdrops
 
This is a great server, just the right amount of players.

He hasn't killed me yet but looks like this nate guy is taking over, just need to send in the troops en masse to take him out and send him back to the stone age.

I think they will still farm people for money if you take C4 out of the drops, they will still want the bullets/metal and other stuff.

One odd thing though, I was logged off in a metal house with many metal doors and someone killed me. Trekked back to my house with a rock and no-one had been able to get in, but built a ladder to try to. If it was a noclipper all my stuff would be gone... so I don't get it.
 
Any chance some of your body was sticking out of the building? this happened to me and I was killed

I'm not that bothered by the Nate guy and I don't want to keep going on about them but I really really don't want him emptying our server that we have worked hard to get people into it

He will continue to be raided himself nightly this I know so maybe he will get fed up of working all day and losing everything every night, we will see!

An update on the money situation, the stupid host I'm with has made it impossible for me to change the .lua files so I can't remove the % of money lost when killed, so the only option is to remove the whole economy mod or leave it as it is, I've sent them a support ticket so will update you what they say

Enjoyed my first ever Rust session. Managed to build a small house with metal door, hope it doesn't get raided !

Found m4 and mp5 blueprint after killing 3 zombies, pretty cool!
 
I've been having a lot of success on a UK server - pretty crude naming but friendly people and someones built a monster tower on there !

Glad you enjoyed it mate, if ever you need any help and any of the N1B members are on just ask them and they should sort you out or at least try
 
I recently purchased a server myself, hoping to hold weekly hunger game style competitions with winners and runners up getting £5-£20. Im not sure if you guys would be willing to migrate though.

Yeah you may be right, try it by all means! Allow explosive to drop ofc, but C4 needs to be crafted

Problem may be that he is attracting more players to this server to join his club via that stream, he said as much last night. Which then tips the balance and makes it unplayable for many people.

Leave the economy as is then mate, as you say, they only want the C4 and if they cant get it from airdrops it may help channel their efforts into hitting rocks.

His house has been emptied apparently and he has had a hissy fit about the c4 thing and said he is bored of dominating the server so there is a chance that is the end if them

C4 is only craft able now and ofc explosive are still available in drops so will give it a try and see how we get on

Hopefully we can all get back to the fun it was before
 
Job done then, I guess he wasn't up for bashing rocks like the rest of us :P

His house was done just after midnight so he had already gone by then, no bodies were found so there is about 6 fully kevlared fully arsenaled bodies about somewhere.

There house was behind rad field so I'm guessing there is another house somewhere or they have just run as dropped in a field, either way the server won't be reset until they are found so their bodies don't disappear
 
Ill go take a look.. any loot left in their place? I can use some gear! (Metal Building parts and research kits)
 
No idea mate, knock yourself out though. I'd check all the surrounding areas for bodies unless they just threw themselves into the sea :D

I now just need to get in touch with the people who left the server due to them
 
Its pretty much cleared, got some research kits though which was cool. Finding their bodies is going to be another story though, were not in the old house. But not all rooms were breached in the new house.
