I had this as well once and I goggled the hacks and a no recoil one does exist which probs explains it. But hey I don't know this guy so just saying This game has insane recoil and you can't hit someone that fast shot after shot when running. But as I said I don't know this guy or anything ha.

Reminder to anyone on the Cocky server : Griefing = ban
So adding your own walls/doors/ceiling inside someone else's house to render is useless, or prevent the owner from leaving/entering = ban.
Siege towers/raiding/C4'ing doors/walls etc = no problem.

Hi guys , i haven't posted here in a year or so mabye since i bought my monster rig. Its a nice place u guys have here, loving the goodfellas ranking system !
I found rust mabye 2-3 months ago , I thought that looks like dayz but with an engine more similar to hl2, so i thought id give it a go, and quickly fell in love with the ruthless brutality of rust. I played on uk3 (stress test) 200 player server, and became quite strong in my area of the map (big civilian) with my wooden behemoth housing over 80 metal doors. Id just started having raves out the front at night when the plauge of hackers hit the server. The game was ruined and everyone who didnt hack left.
My friend and I decided we would rent our own server to ensure that another hacker plauge would never be allowed to ruin the game. Im here to put the word out about our server.

1. Hackers will be banned ASAP.
2. We want a competitive server, were we can be beaten and learn from better players, no admin abuse of any kind ever, Gary makes the rules.
3. As the game is very new we plan to reset the server after each major update. When the game becomes more stable we will have timed resets, like every 6 months for example.
4. Play as you please, wanna play santa claus and hand out cooked chicken ? thats cool, wanna KOS everyone you see ? thats cool, we are not here to dictate your playstyle.

What do people do when their base gets raided whilst they're away and they start from scratch. Surely once you've got the hang of it the new starter approach to create shelter/fire etc isn't the right route to follow? Guessing maybe rush bow/arrows which I've not tried yet after respawning...
I keep getting killed as a naked with a rock after respawns as I immediately start trying to find my friend again and if I/we have a small storage shed somewhere I start trying to head for that. Normally in this time though i'll come across someone else who will then kill me. Yesterday after 10 mins I got to my friend and we headed to a storage shed to find a N1B guy sat waiting in kevlar with gun to shoot us
Think he didn't take stuff but not entirely sure why it was done :S Maybe i've just one of those faces as badaids got on with him much better
Don't get very long to play (4 hours maybe 1-2 times a week, few shorter periods also) but thinking there must be a better way to try recover every time I die/get raided etc which would then make my time playing the game at least a little more fun than being killed every single time before I can even find my friend(s) who i'm sat right next to!
Trying not to descend into pure whining (if anything this post is about trying to stop myself from doing so!) but in the meantime i've moved to a quieter server as I was spending hours in the game as a naked with rock and logging off with barely anything more than a shelter & sleeping bag to show for it which someone will doubtless find/raid while I'm off.

Why are you running around trying to find your friends when you can teleport right to them? You get to teleport 3 times per restarts and the person you teleport to has to accept it.
Press T to chat then type /tpa playername
Your m8 has to then type /tpaccept
You will then teleport right to them.

Only just found out about this yesterday when the N1B who got me at the shelter told badaids about it
Admittedly it's helped massively, when we remembered about it anyway - but even then we'll try and do a very quick resource run to set up somewhere and will get mowed down by someone with a gun... Maybe people think we've been mining resources for longer or something. Not tried out near hacker valley yet (told by a guy who didn't kill me for once that there wasn't much out there?) but tried all over the north west & west & south west of the map without much luck of setting up without being interrupted.Get that this is how the game works just trying to understand how I can give myself a little more of a chance

That's a major problem at the minute because people without jobs/families can and will spend most of everyday on there becoming very powerful and the casual gamer has no chance unless they are willing to put a lot of leg work by running half way across map but even then not guaranteed safety

Agreed, there isn't much balance. You either have a server with <10 players, where you can probably get a nice big base built without much grief, but once you have got lots of weapons/armor, it will get boring fast as there is no one to raid. Whereas a server with 20+ players will generally turn into a deathmatch (unless you are part of a larger group/clan)

Pretty much what I do, my big main base is pretty much empty it is more of a troll base so people waste C4 more then anything else
It's why I tried to have a couple of shelters hidden around but think people actively go looking in mountains / on the coast for them. Hadn't thought of trying just a stash before though may give that a go but then into the realm of being attacked as a fresh spawn when try to go back to the stash... Really must try and craft a bow/arrow when just spawned maybe to try and give myself some security...
That said my friends pretty intent on not coming back and sticking to the small server for now anyway and it's a good way to learn the map etc before moving up to a more hectic server.
We're just killing time until the next map pack for battlefield anyway really
