did your server just crash this last 2 minutes, was in game chopping wood and nothing was registering, I quit then tried to rejoin nothing connection failed, did a refresh did not show on my history, aw man doing a sneaky morning resource hunting.

Funny as hell seeing 3 bandits trying to raid REV base, first they went to the block house in resource valley i ran like hell back to my base then coming to ours.

Also seeing other people getting chased by a bear and wolf LOL

That would be Nebby, Rocky, Enemy and 1 other.
Nebby likes to make bases in the middle of the open to make a statement , and also there loot is spread out over the 3 bases
 
Are people on enough to defend a base in the middle of the open? Always wondered how people can have such obvious bases and not be raided when they're offline heh :)

Am tempted to go back to an old base which got c4'd (best one I've had since playing this game) and throw a couple of metal doors up with a storage box inside them both with nothing but a rock in it :D

i think ive had it with this game now after getting friendly with a guy from london he explained and showed me the hacks he had ingame.

able too spawn any amount of wood into backpack...unsure about metal

no recoil whatso ever on any gun

aimbot that could even fire backwards!!! and from the clipping distance a p250 took me too 7hp i was in full leather armour

a ingame map that show close players and also has the direction there facing and how many meters away

he also said this map also showed who else has cheat/hacks installed

now i hate cheating absolutly an totally but i have spent over 300 freakin hours playing rust an i want too play but talkin too this guy hes like nearly everyones cheatin

explains all the huge houses. an being hit when zigzagging running away an the running into loaded guns

so until all this is fixed which i belive needs to be server side so un hackable files i think i quit an yeah its an alpha but jeez it sure opened my eyes

btw this was on UK1 i have a big metal base right at the tanks

Wait What !?

First of all not all of us Cheat and no how to and secondly we have live admins who will ban anyone who abuses the server.

Sounds to me like he is pulling your leg slightly unless you saw actual proof of the map ect...

I wouldn't be surprise if the developers eventually bring out a map, as the map is so vast that it's easy to get lost, but it wouldn't show you other players unless they are close proximity along with animals.

Do i care if he can get a whole backpack of wood ? no as long as it doesn't take away the resource in that specific location. Hackers can be controlled but they are on any game, but eventually they leave as they get boored cause they have nothing left to do and have no accomplishment.

So leave if you wish, but 95% of the community are great with a small margin of griefers, which you get in similar titles like minecraft - TNT !

Server should be ok now mate without the crash's, and finally is running smooth as anything after the updates / tweaking.

Also we have brought /history and groups back into the serve.

While there is probably more legitimate players then cheaters, every server has cheaters. Its just about waiting until they mess up so they can get banned.

Take my experience for example, killed by a hacker, hopefully he'll get banned.

Best thing to do with Rust at its current state and its the same with DayZ too, is to just wait. Wait for about 3-4 months, the vast majority of the children will be bored with the game, it will be updated to hopefully make hacking harder and it'll have more content.

There is no point getting frustrated over people hacking, just if the admins of the server support the hackers, then your in trouble.

Over the next couple of days you might find yourself not being able to join the official servers. You might be getting a message saying you're banned.

It would help us a lot if you would confirm that you have been cheating, have been banned anc cheatpunch if working properly. that way we'll be able to roll it out to all the other servers faster.

If you find yourself banned and are positive that you haven't been cheating then please post your full 64bit steamid in the thread and we will look into it.

We won't tell you exactly how cheatpunch works because we want to catch as many cheats as possible. It's been running for 4 days. Right now we have 4,573 bans in the database.

PeeJayy, and I think maybe Pigwings?, are also from Iceland, and they are cool. when they are not playing bandit that is.
 
hopefully most servers will add the anticheat in doesnt take long to add but some people use admin tools and some are classed as cheats aswell. gunna get real interesting seeing who does what :p
