Cracking set of pictures, really well done
If I took the kid on the dancefloor as an example, could you run through what you did either with the camera or post processing to give the image the 'pop' and black circle of shadows around the subject.
I don't do anything or have done anything that you can't do in LR, it is all processed in LR (apart from 1 pic where i needed PS to do some specific retouching). Exposure adjustments, contrast, vibrancy...etc and add some vignetting on the edges to force the eye to the center a bit. That's it really, may be the 5Dii just that better capturing colours in the first place? ...I honestly can't recall my 30D giving me pics like these !
That, or my iMac...until i got the iMac, i did not even attempt to process the 5Dii RAW files on my old P4 properly, it was simply too big. This wedding was the first time i used both together intensively, the screen on the iMac is so much better which no doubt it helped me with the colours too. So, may be i could always do these colours in the first place, I just never "seen" it due to my monitor ?
