Rx480 prices.... mining?

Which requires a GPU that can get a locked 144 Hz, hence my original point. I don't think I can go back to 60 Hz FPS gaming.
Ahh i get you.
I must be the only person in the world left that thinks that 60fps looks smooth and totally fine. Maybe it's my age? (34). But 60hz looks fine to me. I've tried 144hz and it's a bit smoother but nothing major.

Nope. I feel the same.

Depends what games you play tbh
True. I don't play competitively. Not into overwatch or call of duty/battlefield type games, so then the extra hz is not much a big deal then. Not saying it is not nice, just saying it is not worth the premium for me, rather play 30-60fps and go for the higher image quality :)

Agree. Except my limit is 50FPS. Anything under that I start to notice. Anything above 50 looks fine to me. But like you I don't play competitive FPS games.

I can notice when under 60, just with some games I do not mind 30. But games like fighting, racing and football I find 60fps is a must.

For those with 290s, if we can get around £200 for them - surely a stop gap to a second hand 980Ti for around the same would be a good shout?

Yup certainly not bad for a stop gap.

Wish I could get £200 just from selling my 290 on the mm here, don't know if I could be bothered with the hassle/faff of ebay :(

I will give you £80, no hassle what so ever. Deal? lol

That will mean you only need to spend £369 for a X BOX One X :p

Thats all I did with the 480...I had seen the 8gb versions selling for around £330 so stuck it on a fixed price @ £295 and pretty much sold instantly.

Does anyone know how long RMA's with XFX usually take? I'm half hoping they send me a 480 as a replacement for my 390 so I can stick it on ebay for £250-300 and put that towards a 1070 :D

Think I might just try my luck and put my MSI GE 290 up on the bay for a starting price of £300 and see what happens :D Hmmm, actually might try £350 for giggles :p

We had 200 RX 570 4G land today, the lot sold at £270 within ten minutes. Crazy times.

1070's are nearly all gone and the 1060's are nearly depleted also.

At this rate we will have no VGA to sell, don't know whether this is a good or bad thing.........
