Rx480 prices.... mining?

Is it worth pre-ordering and selling these all on or once the next shipments start arriving in prices will drop again?

Must admit glad I sold it and got a 980 now, performance in game is much better.

We had 200 RX 570 4G land today, the lot sold at £270 within ten minutes. Crazy times.

1070's are nearly all gone and the 1060's are nearly depleted also.

At this rate we will have no VGA to sell, don't know whether this is a good or bad thing.........

Hello, what's your opinion of the rumours of NVidia and AMD making specific mining cards without display outs?

I just hope we will have Preorder for VEGA when its about to come out :)

Another one to take advantage of this mining craze - strix 480 sold, plus a few pc components I had lying around, put £40 towards that and walk away with a Strix 1070. Shame I'm sitting with a freesync monitor and no AMD card but to be honest with the extra performance on tap I'm not noticing any loss not using freesync. Sell those 480's while you can!!!

Nah, not worth it mate. Think about it. Let's say £180 a months. Minus 50 for electricity. Minus your time setting up all the mining stuff for Ethereum (not easy). Plus stressing your PC.

You are down to pennies a day. And the bubble will burst very soon.

Yeah, not worth it... ;););)

You know he's been selling them for like a week right?

AMD should order retailers to restrict sales to <=2 per person midrange and <=4 per person high end, would solve the issues. But then OFC AMD/Nvidia are businesses and would be silly to put customers before profit.

Yeah, true but humans always, always has a tendancy to ruin things for everyone.

was tempted to sell mine but just gonna wait on the new amd cards coming whenever that may be and keep this as a spare.

That is pretty much how I viewed it in the end and ive put too much into building my rig for Gaming. Didn't want to risk it for a free lunch!

Every component has a warranty though. If your gpu fails then you can rma it and the same is for your psu etc. Stop being a wimp and be greedy ;)

I'll await the news of you starting mining then,... keep breaking bones and you will have to mine to pay the bills haha

If I had a clue what I was doing I'd be tempted. My pc has probably been on about 13 hours today so I'm burning electricity like a muppet anyway :(

Its a shame I couldn't somehow use a little Acer mini pc thing I've got in spare room.

It's actually really easy, I figured it out with a couple of hours research.
