Rx480 prices.... mining?

Great game, but it is too addictive and rage inducing for my taste, so I quit it. I do return now and then when there is a new hero though for a few matches :p

Sounds like it *can* be Quake Champions rage at times.

Not waiting for Vega Phixsator? Your book needs updating I say!

Joking, enjoy mate :)
:P no waiting.. being told to wait and wait over and over again got me tired.. AMD is good at that game sadly. A guy can only take so much before he has to get some performance back into his machine. I need that powah man!

Looks like I'll be cashing in.

My 480 is currently £25 shy of the reserve I set with 3 days still to run on a well known auction site.

As long as RX Vega pans out OK I'll be putting in a pre-order as soon as the doors open.

Mining can pull back considerably but its not going away. Its related to dollar reserve currency status and global trade. If you want to blame anyone, it'd be the Chinese mostly who support bitcoin due to communism, hong Kong, fixed currency exchange rates and capital controls.

It should prove a positive for AMD and even normal users of graphics cards [economies of scale] but in any case, growth in intelligent use of gpu processing will Im told be massive in its influence across industry

mate has a 295x2 is it good for mining.he wa gunna flog it but hes not sure what its worth now with this mining craze going on.

Still can't buy them anywhere though. RX 580s can be pre-ordered at not-insane prices for 31st August...
It will probably take a while before some of the people buying up the cards realise the Bitcoin value and thus mining profitability has crashed. Lets be honest people who were buying RX480/580s for the price of a GTX1070 with the intent of mining were never that bright.

I've been spending less time on the forum lately and just returned to the site to see these insane AMD prices. Wtf! I did notice a R9 290 exactly like mine up for sale at £200 (which is what I paid in 2014 for it new) and thought wow. Just checked and it went for £270! Utter bonkers.

That's why i sold all three of my 290's a few weeks back. Money towards Vega, couldn't come at a better time.
