RYAN GIGGS

Meh, with respect to privacy he tabloids continually seem to confuse 'in the public interest' with 'of interest to the public', the more they do the latter rather than the former, the more damage is done to legitimate claims for free speech.

The PCC should be given far greater powers to bitch-slap the papers when they blatantly disregard the PCC Code of Conduct - if there is going to be an increase in the 'free speech' direction of defamation/privacy law then the PCC needs to be given some teeth to enforce its own rules.

I have to agree on some of Fox's comments.

What puzzles me is that the courts allow the injunction in the first place, knowing full well that leaks are more than likely. You could argue that the player has a right to his privacy but then he should have thought about that before starting the affair.

Is it privacy the player wants or not wanting his sponsors telling him to jog on?

He should man up, admit what he has done and face the consequences.

Agree
All these Prem stars are in the limelight all the time. What they lack is brain cells. Thinking they can have affairs and keep a lid on it.
If you want to f around then don't get married. Easy

What business of us is it who he sleeps with anyway? Why do we even care?

Any normal, well-adjusted person doesn't care at all IMO. It's the masses of celebrity-obsessed sheep that buy the magazines and papers publishing these stories that are the problem. :(

I think that if it's in the public interest, then perhaps publishing such a story is justified and gagging shouldn't be allowed. Is Ryan Giggs' sex life in the public interest? I don't think so.

if he had just manned up and admitted it months ago it would have all blown over by now and nobody would care

she has slept with half of the premier league already so it was only a matter of time till she got to a married player

how can these sorts of people ever expect to keep it quiet...and how thick must he be knowing her well publicised serial shagging of footballers then appearing in the gossip mags..they deserve everthing they get.

Why is this still being talked about?

Its boring and old news now. The more people talk the more it gets hyped.

Problem is that is why advertisers pay these stars millions per year because people are interested in them. Hence, if their well heeled image is tarnished, the same public want to know about it and obviously the star wants to keep it under wraps.

If you make loads of money out of promoting your image as a family man and father of the year, don't go around having affairs. Simples.

If you do, don;t try and put gagging orders to protect your income or cry "invasion of privacy". If you want to keep your private life, "private", don;t make money from your private life.

What Ryan Giggs does has nothing to do with anyone. The media need to be took to court for invading peoples private life!

The government should stop this sort of stuff been broadcasted as it has nothing to do with anyone else except theres a lot of money involved in it.

Whoever allowed stuff like this to be broadcasted in papers should be assassinated. I don't care what any of you think about this opinion as its simply just wrong for people to invade like that.
