so what do we think the real issue is, as it seems an insane amount of cancelled flights for just annual leave error.

Friday and up until 28th September on there website now relieved that my flight not canceled but feel sorry for the people that are especially when you booked accomodation/tours etc.
It really is a bad situation

Flying with Ryanair from Manchester in 3 weeks to Barcelona. Hope they let me know soon so I can make alternative arrangements if so. My flight is at 6 30am and I have a cruise boat to catch that same day.
I would have thought with the amount of bad press they get everyone would just avoid them like the plague.
Exactly this. I've flown with them several times, I just treat it like a bus. When I can fly across Europe for less than the price of a local taxi fare I won't complain about it being a bit rough round the edges. They're cheap?
Seems to be thats what 90% of flying is about these days is the lowest possible fare.
The other 10% is charging extortionate prices for a slight improvement in the experience.

The current situation with cancelled flights is pretty terrible though.
Heh. When I was flying back from Copenhagen last month they had to change the gate for my easyJet flight because there were two broken down Ryanair planes in the way.My money's on something technical. Would be good to see which aircraft are all grounded and what parts they share.
