Ryse: Son of Rome GPU performance benchmark

Ryse: Son of Rome received mixed reviews from critics. It has an aggregate score of 64.07% on GameRankings[9] and 60/100 on Metacritic.[10] Electronic Gaming Monthly gave the game a 7.5/10, praising the visuals but criticized the repetitive combat.[12] GameSpot was more critical on the game by giving it a 4/10, praising the great visuals and vocal performances, but criticizing the "shallow and repetitive combat", linear path, and multiplayer.[14] Hex from Good Game gave the game 8.5/10 saying that "the voice acting and mocap is all top-notch, with beautiful, stately dialogue".[17] GameZone's Mike Splechta gave it a 7.5/10, stating "Sure, Ryse: Son of Rome is a gorgeous game, possibly the best looking Xbox One launch game despite its sub-1080p resolution."[15]

Good looking game (even on the XB1 it looked fantastic) but it's basically a press this button to stab someone, repeat. I won't be buying but good luck to those who do.

Very interesting results, console AMD optimisation seems to be quite infectious when the game is ported to PC.. :)

I would say it has practically nothing to do with it. Every game on XB1 uses directX.

So porting anything from XB1 if that easy should be better. Not seeing a pattern at all lol.

It's a bit early to be making judgments, they're comparing 3wk old NVidia drivers (that are probably much older due to WHQL certification) to 2 day old AMD betas that have probably been released specifically for this purpose.
