AMD Ryzen 2 Pinnacle Ridge Coming Late February, Early March Next Year – To Support New 400 Series Chipset
Motherboard makers will be introducing several motherboard options, including X470 and B450 flavors, based on a new 400 series Chipset design which will be debuting right alongside the upcoming Ryzen 2000 series.
The good news is that AM4 compatibility is remaining. Theoretically speaking this means that all it will take to turn any of the existing 300 series motheboards compatible with a 2000 Series Ryzen CPU is a BIOS update. This should give buyers the option to opt for the new 400 series chipset, which is expected to bring an expanded feature list, or stay with any of the current flock of 300 series boards to save a few bucks.
AMD confirm that Vega refresh will be based off of specially modified Ryzen chips.
Not sure if serious?

I'd rather think there will be no Vega refresh. It's so screwed that AMD needs to return to the drawing board and design something properly working.
Of course the comparison with Zen cores doesn't hold any sense, because Zen cores will be much worse than Vega for these specific applications.
Vega is so screwed that I don't really understand how this project reached the phase of selling actual consumer gaming products.
(It can be used but its characteristics, like performance for the price, and performance for the power consumption are absolute disaster, they simply keep AMD's hands tied, so they can do nothing in the upper gaming segments).
