Ryzen "2" ?

Cheers.

I've ordered the 2700x still not sure if I should put it in my current motherboard or go for a X470

I think we'll all have to compare the performance we get with our 300 series boards with what others get with the 400 series boards on a board by board basis. As the link I was just given above shows it seems that higher end ROG board does well but how well lesser 300 series boards will do is anyone's guess right now. We'll start getting info in the coming days but so far it's looking okay.

Received and just finished mounting my 2700X on my Asrock X370 Taichi, all seems to be working well (had a small panic attack on first boot as the screen was stuck on the Asrock logo but problem was solved after doing a clear CMOS).

If there's anything in particular you want me to test or check just let me know. Oh for reference I was running with a 1700x before.

Nice what memory are you using

I can't wait however for a new Taichi bios, the current 4.60 version (which is mandatory for the 2700x) is horrible. I have cold boot and boot reset problems since I'm running it.

And it's not tied to the 2700X, I did the upgrade yesterday while still running with the 1700X and I got the exact symptoms. Symptoms which I did not have while I was running the 4.40 bios...come on Asrock

What boost speed do you get with all threads loaded?

I've been hitting 4.2Ghz, haven't seen anything higher yet. I'm not sure what tool/software (used SuperPi, CPU-Z integrated bench and Cinebench) to use to best check that, any recommendation?

EDIT: oh sorry didn't see you meant for all threads, max I saw seemed to be 4050Mhz.
