Ryzen "2" ?

...but at least you don't end up getting baited into buying the same cpu twice!

Really? So Skylake, Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake aren't the same chip? Haswell, Haswell Refresh and Devil's Canyon aren't the same either?

And isn't pretty much everything just a tweaked Sandy Bridge anyway?

And who said anything about baiting? It's consumer choice. I don't see AMD holding a gun to any Ryzen owners' heads...

If it goes for zen to zen+ upgrade. Totally NOT WORTH IT. Only done it cause got free motherboard from Asus. Sold my 1700x with c6h for 250 quid yesterday and since I paid almost 400 quid for binned 2700x it was 150 quid upgrade.

You bought a binned 2700k? Lol, is that even a thing? And you paid over 100 quid extra for it????????

Do you keep warm by setting fire to stacks of 50 quid notes?

I spend money on more useless **** like weed anyway :p So ye kinda Burning money lol. Condisering I'w lost 40 quid on shipping 3x1700s and still ended up with cpu that could not do 4000 feels like actually saved money this time around. Cause would be shipping em back till I'w got good one.

Dunno if anyone else has had problems, but over the last couple of days I've had to reset Win10 three times, after it refused to boot, and hung on the rotating-circles screen (left for five hours, no joy...). Only way in was triple-reset and into safe mode.
Total waste of a day off.
All I can deduce is that the latest Windows updates don't like the latest AMD Adrenalin version (18.4.1). Most of you guys probably run Nvidia anyway I guess...

Have you tried the settings that De8buer was using on your 2700x, be interesting to see if you get similar results.
I got faster settings than hes LOL but THOSE ARE NOT STABLE Not seen a single person that got PE3 stable. You can game on it bench on it will crash in seconds of IBT PRIME or AIDA.

I just love those ******** overclocks with 0 stability in real world. We had guy claiming 4.2 on all cores @ 1.35 volts. Cant pass even 1 loop of IBT High LOL

IBT isn't real world to most people. :p

If it does not pass ibt very highx10 i'm not even bothered looking for more serious stabiloty tests like few hours of prime y-cruncher or 3dmark loop

Ibt is great for quick 5 minute test to check if there is any.point starting proper stress test.
Passes ibt still crash few hours in to prime.

Same for memory 1000%hci pass is usually stable but can still get error at 1800%

And thats me not being to fussy 5-7 hours pass is good enough for me and my workloads. Got few that need 24h pass stress pass on prime realbench and aida to consider oc stable. Thats 3 days of stress testing 1 setring hehe
