I got around 250mhz all core clock increase over my 1700X but I got a 550mhz single core boost increase. (If I keep it at these settings.....)

...but at least you don't end up getting baited into buying the same cpu twice!
Really? So Skylake, Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake aren't the same chip? Haswell, Haswell Refresh and Devil's Canyon aren't the same either?
And isn't pretty much everything just a tweaked Sandy Bridge anyway?
And who said anything about baiting? It's consumer choice. I don't see AMD holding a gun to any Ryzen owners' heads...
yeah thats the conclusion ive come to as wellEven if you sold the 1700 I imagine the outlay for such an upgrade to be ~£100, which is clearly not worth a few hundred MHz.
If it goes for zen to zen+ upgrade. Totally NOT WORTH IT. Only done it cause got free motherboard from Asus. Sold my 1700x with c6h for 250 quid yesterday and since I paid almost 400 quid for binned 2700x it was 150 quid upgrade.
People bash intel for the constant chipset and/or socket changes, but at least you don't end up getting baited into buying the same cpu twice!

I spend money on more useless **** like weed anywayYou bought a binned 2700k? Lol, is that even a thing? And you paid over 100 quid extra for it????????
Do you keep warm by setting fire to stacks of 50 quid notes?
It is paid extra 100 pounds including shipment and tax.So the 2700x wasn't really binned then?

I think Zeed is referring to his 3 1700s.But you said it couldn't do 4ghz?
ye ******* 3 different 1700s from 3 different places could not hit stable 4ghz no matter what voltsI think Zeed is referring to his 3 1700s.
I got faster settings than hes LOL but THOSE ARE NOT STABLE Not seen a single person that got PE3 stable. You can game on it bench on it will crash in seconds of IBT PRIME or AIDA.Have you tried the settings that De8buer was using on your 2700x, be interesting to see if you get similar results.

I just love those ******** overclocks with 0 stability in real world. We had guy claiming 4.2 on all cores @ 1.35 volts. Cant pass even 1 loop of IBT High LOL
If it does not pass ibt very highx10 i'm not even bothered looking for more serious stabiloty tests like few hours of prime y-cruncher or 3dmark loopIBT isn't real world to most people.![]()
