If people carry on we can break the stalemate

May of missed this bit but why are they running the Ryzen on the higher memory and not the intel, does memory speed not effect the 8400 as much as the Ryzen?
No overclocking (even memory) on the 8400 with a low-end B360 motherboard
(Although equally the 2600 should have been tested with the same ram and a comparable motherboard)

Thought as much, if they are testing the CPU’s with overclocked memory for one why not get a motherboard that allows it for the other. Seems slack reviewing.
On the plus side they both perform ok.
Indeed with the 8400 on a Z370 and both using the same 3400Mhz RAM, the 8400 is slightly faster in most games

Actually that is interesting, he tested the CPU all at stock, and the 2600 does a lot better stock vs the 8400 than Steve's review did, in every game they are about even.
The thing is the 2600 can OC while the 8400 can't, so the 2600 has more to give, the 8400 that's yer lot.
Thats because hes using a 1080. All were seeing here is a bottleneck.
Dunno how to use FCAT and Afterburner doesnt work with Destiny 2, had a quick go and it does dip in places but I have no comparison to make against.![]()
All we are really interested in are the frame rates at the same spot, see if its any higher with Ryzen 2###
I don't know how to get the frame counter up that prjwebb used, is it in the options menu?
I'd have a go myself but its still too expensive for something just to mess about with.
Oh I can see FPS and it does drop in that spot but without anything to compare with its meaningless.
Have you not got my 1600 and 8600k results to compare with?Oh I can see FPS and it does drop in that spot but without anything to compare with its meaningless.
