Ryzen 3 pricing from OCUK

We've already been given the official pricing from AMD.
After conversion and tax I'd put it at £450 for the 3900X.

If OCUK don't have pre orders, I'd put money on no pre orders anywhere else legitimate as they're not really a thing.

I see what you mean, but "official pricing from AMD" means nothing to etailers. They always mark up 20% to 30% and since everyone is excited about zen2 I think we know prices will be high regardless. I can only imagine what x570 prices will be like?

Exactly. AMD will shoot themselves in the foot.

I don't know what the pricing on X570 will be but i'm pretty sure it will be significantly higher than X470, the reason i think that is it's obvious X570 is a far higher quality platform than X470 was, complete overkill for a 3600 or 3700.

That's all there is to it and i can't be bothered to wait for B550. hell i might even keep my B350 if it does the job just fine.

It’s like that for most hardware but AMD are usually well priced in UK. Obviously what’s on offer from AMD will be in demand.

If prices are high here, they'll be high everywhere.
If the the 3900X is anymore than £500 I'd eat my hat.

To eat my hat I'd have to buy a hat, so that's how confident I am lol.

Unless you want a GPU of course.

I was going to get a x570 and 3800x for mini itx buld, but think I might go x470 and 3700x with my RTX 2080. X570 prices seem scary. That should hold me a couple years. I will say at least i'll have a upgrade path when Ryzen 4000 releases :)

So you think if I get a 3700, I would be better off saving a few quid and getting an X470 board?

On some low price stuff now and again................maybe. On a major cpu architecture change that could change the whole cpu market ? Not a cat in hell's chance. OCUK will gouge it for all it's worth, just like all the other etailers.

Too much stock allocation on most of the models, there'll be plenty of stock around and you can actually order it elsewhere already if you have an account. Prices are lower than $:£, and as such if gouging takes place only those who die hard support a retails, or don't shop around will be paying it. The worlds largest online retailer will be the one to watch. :)

It's due to the fact they need to be careful with their pricing, as they charge your card upfront and they'll end up processing loads of refunds if they try and gouge on pre-orders, and other retailers are selling at a lower costs and have just as much stock. There's no shortages on release, which IMO is a great thing.

I think there will be a 3900 non x version later, possibly when the 3950x comes out in September and it will be $439

It's all going to be expensive. Very expensive. Best board prices will increase rapidly due to 'stock shortage' cough cough...

Roll on 6 months of working with vendors for the best deals... Still not close to RRP.

Lol.

Meh, not to botherd about the pricing, if I upgrade I'll wait for the b series mothboards to appear and then consider my options. By then prices on the 8 core CPU's should settle down to somthsome approaching affordable (looking for sub £200 on an 8 core, to much to ask for?).

I will own a 3900X.

It's only a question of which e-tailor will I buy mine from.
Yup sorry, I don't do blind loyalty, I go where I can save the most cash.

Saying that I might be sway or temped if early pre-ordering went up *hint*.
;) (Come on Nik get them listed man, you guy's must know what your allocation is by now).
