They are, the numbers are for retail CPU's that are sent out to customers that have ordered them. There would be no point otherwise.

Cool thank you mate. What do people mean when they state they set it to a 1:1 configuration though? Is it because the memory is dual rank so it's at 2:1 ratio or something?
This has come up before on the 3080 thread. It was confirmed that pre builds would not impact pre order queues. OCUK have different stock allocations with their distributors for each sale type. Now if the same is applied to CPU's I cant confirm as I don't work for OCUK. But it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination. They're able to secure additional stock than they normally would this way so it makes them more money.
Will do. I'm actually building 2 of them out. 6800xt and 5950x along with sf750 going in both. Was fun trying to get hold of the cases in time for everything else arriving!
not dual rank, memory runs at double rate. Your 3600Mhz memory in reality runs @1800Mhz, which is what even CPU Z shows. It just doubles up due to how data is moving around
Pre builds use cpu trays (no boxes) where as retail cpus are boxed.
guys keep us posted if you hear anything on dispatchs or updates etc, one poster in the announcement thread said they had a shipping dispatch on a 5900x although they were really low im the queue 15th or something.
Im currently 42 on a 5800x but nothing so far, I heard OCUK were expecting 100 more 5800x as part of their initial launch stock, although that was supposed to turn up last week, and didnt, so who knows.

I’d think OcUK have a list of orders arranged by time placed waiting to be fulfilled.

Thanks mate, I'm in a bit of a predicament as I won't have a graphics card unless the gods smile on me for tomorrows launch haha.
I haven't owned a PC since I moved to the UK from Aus 2 years ago. Normally I spend my holidays going back to see the fam, but this year without travel I can actually spend 2 weeks playing games I haven't had time to (I'm actually stoked)
Tossing up whether I should try to get a second hand card just so I have a system operating over the Christmas break or whether I look at getting an older card. I'll see where I end up in tomorrows **** storm.
What's the queue for the 5950X? I asked earlier and someone informed me it's likely something I won't see until after Christmas but I never got any numbers from anyone, so I would guess the queue length is pretty long however I pre-ordered from elsewhere yesterday and I'm queue position 11 which makes me think the 5950X isn't as popular as everyone thinks.

The queues are entirely dependent on which store and what price they are listed for, there isn't a simple logic that will tell you if 5950X is short or long. Ask CS on the phone or in the forums if you want more information, nobody here will be able to tell you definitively.
