The queues are entirely dependent on which store and what price they are listed for, there isn't a simple logic that will tell you if 5950X is short or long. Ask CS on the phone or in the forums if you want more information, nobody here will be able to tell you definitively.

That's fair enough, it was mostly just a rough estimate, I had seen someone is in queue position 11 so I know at least there are 11 waiting for the CPU here.

It would be nice if Overclockers released the total number of pre-orders for each specific CPU/GPU publicly like some other sites do. At least then people could make an informed decision to pre-order rather than just throw money blindly.

What's the queue for the 5950X? I asked earlier and someone informed me it's likely something I won't see until after Christmas but I never got any numbers from anyone, so I would guess the queue length is pretty long however I pre-ordered from elsewhere yesterday and I'm queue position 11 which makes me think the 5950X isn't as popular as everyone thinks.

Thanks mate, I'm in a bit of a predicament as I won't have a graphics card unless the gods smile on me for tomorrows launch haha.

I haven't owned a PC since I moved to the UK from Aus 2 years ago. Normally I spend my holidays going back to see the fam, but this year without travel I can actually spend 2 weeks playing games I haven't had time to (I'm actually stoked)

Tossing up whether I should try to get a second hand card just so I have a system operating over the Christmas break or whether I look at getting an older card. I'll see where I end up in tomorrows **** storm.

German living in the UK here. Tough choice, and without new cards on the market, the ebay prices are still high.

Being as there is apparently only 1200 6800 and 6800XT COMBINED available in the UK for the launch you will have to be VERY lucky indeed...

I think 120 would be more realistic and even then I don't think there will be that many.

Their original blog post on the 6th said they had taken 300 orders on the 5950x so id expect the queue to be a lot higher now given lack of stock

Yep, only 20 and they post them today. No one knows when new ones are coming. They hope for early December. I talked to a couple of major suppliers today and no one knows when they will come. I managed to find one in stock for € 850
