RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

Ok got the 5950x installed ;)
think i found a bug i cannt enable XMP at all with this Ryzen chip even though 3950x worked perfect with XMP :/
keep getting A6-F9 cpu error issue...

this is on a MSI godlike X570 board. :/ Jesus i hope this cpu does not have a memory issue. :(

tried the cpu on single/multi cinebench and it passed both though temps where 67c is this normal LOL quite high though the cpu seems to be running all over the place on voltage from 1.06v only at full load muli to 1.3-1.4v on single tasks :D lol

What is the make and module number of the memory you are using? You should just set the voltage to 1.4v yourself and key in the primary timings, when using the latest BIOS.

Those temps are normal and expected for default settings. If you raise PPT, TDC and EDC values in the BIOS or Ryzen Master Tool, your temps will go up further.

shouldn't have any issues with a godlike motherboard!
that thing possibly has the best memory oc you can get, let alone set an XMP, maybe maybe its a agesa bios update very soon?

Not talking about the politics... but completely ignoring that Taiwan isn't part of the EU... this has nothing to do with Brexit.

I'm no expert. But after Jan 1st the Global Tarrif applies to ALL imports to the UK. Taiwan previously imported to the EU to.reach us. No more.

There are new documents all imports are required to complete on all imports too, related to the new tax. It's on the uk.gov website.

But I need to read up on the tarriff rates to see if it's going to raise prices, other than to cover costs of the extra paperwork.

Quad core for £300 and 6 core for £450, anyone?

Best prepare for the worst, imho.

Its 4x8gb teamgroup 4000mhz 18.18.18 b-die memoiry 8 pack stuff

seems though i cant get the infinity fabric above 2000mhz to do 1/1 with 4000mhz memory
so i guess this might be why its not booting when XMP is enabled as system is probably trying to get 2000 fabric. though not sure why cause when i enable xmp on my 3950x when i had it that worked albet out of sync though with a fabric of 1900mhz
this 5950x though refuses to even boot when enabled.

though i can dial in 3800/1900 with same settings/timings that i was running on my 3950x when i manually set it.

i sure though the issue is the bios needs more maturing with this cpu... or better fabric optimization cause i cant see the problem as these cpus are ment to be able to run 4000++ memory.

Interesting. What settings do you mean when you say dial in 3800/1900 on the 595x?

I get similar behavior on my 5950x but I settled for 3600/1800mhz for now.

Dialed the settings in just means that i manually input the timings and speeds :D

3800/1900

Be careful with DPD, they have been extremely limiting with delivery reschedules. I got a delivery notice this morning for today 3-4pm, obviously I did not expect it to be delivered today so I cannot accept the delivery. Their option for redelivery is tomorrow, and next week. No deliver to neighbour, or leave at the safe place or deliver to one of the pick up spots. So yeah

Not sure why you have such limitations. Are you in a particular area of the country that was already in lockdown before "lockdown". We have all the options here for neighbour and safe place etc at moment.

Just keep in mind, I'm not moaning or blaming anyone :) I have no issues with DPD at all. Just send it as a warning since it might affect your area.
Yes, I believe it is area thing :) I'm in London by the way, and I'm receiving another delivery in different part of London (work) by DPD and they have much broader service availability ;)

Ah okay, was just thinking people also might start super worrying too. I have them doing a collection today from me but have been here at least 9 times in last two weeks on different deliveries for my build. Very much a waiting process now. Only good news is it gives me much more time for getting custom stuff done and sorted than it being built but the shelf life of the coolant I ordered is almost up so need to talk to OcUK about that.

It's not. the UK Global Tariff largely mirrors or reduces the EU common Tariff. Electronic integrated circuits (ie processors etc) is 0% for both Global and Common tariff.

Same with memory.

Commodity codes are...
