RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

Can't believe people are so eager to pay over the odds for what the reviewers already called an overpriced product at its MSRP.

The 5800X @£475.

Pretty sure it's the "generation effect" falling into play. No one wants the 3000 series anymore because they're "last years tech" and therefore completely inferior to any/all of the 5000 series processor.

Even though the IPC is only ~15-19% so an older 3900X would still outpace a 5800X

I did @blackcell1 .. It showed as in stock and available for delivery/collection.. Was able to select the store and time to pickup.. Then went to payment method.. select card.. unable to process order.. Then shown on a separate link as out of stock.. Most frustrating..

Glad you got one. Hope you're looking to use in your PC :)

Yeah there site is a massive pain in the arse, being as they don't seem to be charging more for there processors I'm guessing it's the scalpers wet dream for maximum profits. I was probably early as I was running a stock bot to check.

Got my 5600X arriving today. Will probably wait till tomorrow to fit when new AIO arrives.

Went to a competitor in the end. After looking on this forum I didn’t fancy playing the waiting game with poor communication. Shame. I’ve been a OCUK customer for a long old time.

Apart from gaming where you know the 5600x beats out any of the 3000 series CPU's right?

Also ignores people doing the future proofing thing (which people still in current year pretend is impossible).

I got a Sabrent Rocket 4 which has similar speeds to the Xbox Series X memory. My hope is to take advantage of direct storage once it's the norm and last gen has been phased out. All without the need to rebuild my PC. My next upgrade will be a GPU at the next release for those. Probably nVidia

The “examination” website or the device usually found on printers, that has daily updates at 9:30am (sometimes afternoon updates too) have said 5800x and 5950x stock has been confirmed for delivery this week. Shame I’m having to check a competitors website for a hint that OC might be getting a similar delivery. Wish I ordered with them. Takes 2 minutes to do what they’re doing, and if I was in their queue I wouldn’t be so frustrated...

I keep doing the same and that one place has done it 100% right transparent and clear and I do hope it reflects on others ability to get stock...

They've set the gold standard on communication as far as i'm concerned

In fairness that is the only place that has done anything better than here. The other general places you go too either just say sorry we have no information or check the website or use our stock notification system and that is as much as you get out of them. I know because I tried to phone one that says pre-order only to get told "sorry no pre-orders and no idea when we will get stock" and the other two places I used their chat whom said sorry just use the notify me to get latest updates. Being in a queue with them or having to hope to catch a notification would be much more frustrating overall. To that point I have had notifications for 3 weeks or more with not a single notification coming in and one saying sorry not in stock, what about this.
