Almost tempted but I'll wait for RRP

Position 56 Friday 11th of December.
OCUK gets over 100 5900x over the week.
Position 9 Saturday 19th of December.
The sales on the phone told me it would be coming monday/tuesday.
Cannot wait to see it tomorrow... Right? OCUK?

OCUK have bumped the price of the 5600 up by another £20. plenty of stock apparently, has the pound took a dive lately?
Pretty surprises by the increased prices... called a competitor who also has a significant mark up and they tried to tell me it is because they have to "recover" their costs as they allegedly paid more to have stock before other people have it... I don't believe that for one second
Overclockers is the worst scalpers company in history.
I've placed an order with the competitor for 5900x. The order is delayed to next year but they've offered me to upgrade to 5950x at retail price which is £110 cheaper than getting from here.
I went for the upgrade this morning. The CPU is dispatched and will be delivered tomorrow.
But what's worth more to you, £110 or a pack of Haribo?
I dont believe for a second OC paid extra penny to secure stock.
Guys even auction site is selling 5090x less than OC
No-one is coming out of this particularly well, both AMD and Nvidia generated lots of hype but didnt follow through with enough supply.
Online retailers are among the few to have done OK this year yet cant resist the temptation to scalp. Maybe an extra £20 on 1000 off helps their bottom line but the loss of reputation is harder to calculate. It's not like they have a hard job just moving product from goods-in to couriers.
RRPs can be found via AMD or Nvidias own sites and are even lower than some people are thinking let alone some of the outrageous selling prices.
The 5900x is still scarce but as each needs two CCDs and was reviewed more positively than the 5800x it's no surprise.
