RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

Position 56 Friday 11th of December.
OCUK gets over 100 5900x over the week.
Position 9 Saturday 19th of December.

The sales on the phone told me it would be coming monday/tuesday.

Cannot wait to see it tomorrow... Right? OCUK?

Probably are selling stock to scalping prices, if you paid RRP (which is already more than these CPUs are worth) you have to wait :D

How a company like OC decided to ruin a reputation ending up like any other cr** store by scalping his own customers is beyond reasonable, they would have been better off selling them with a fake account on eBay than scalping here, actually 5950x is more expensive on OCUK than scalpers last time I checked.

5600x which has little value when compared with what you can get from Intel now that this line of CPU has turned the table is £320, really all pricing here is aimed at gullible people.

I currently have a 3600 and a RX 6800. And i don't know what to do. Go for a 5600x or a 3900XT. I'm playing at 1440p 16:9 144Hz Freesync. I've seen benchmarks but the results are mixed.
Better value is the 3900XT as it comes with thermal paste and a game code for FarCry 6 at 432 pounds, or just the CPU itself for 400 pounds

Any suggestions?

No reply from OCUK and by the looks of it the situation is looking bad for me. Unbelievable. 3 systems built with OCUK. Almost 5 years buying here. And now I'll be actively recommending people to avoid making any purchases with them. The last 3-4 months managed to completely destroy any inch of reputation they had. This is a disgrace. I'll probably be getting my system in January by the looks of it and all because OCUK's warehouse got the organisation skills of a toddler.

Angry. And I'm not the only one.

They are in stock at a few places now but still over RRP if not a bit less than OCUK's price

Wont be long now until they are available at RRP if everyone can hold off until after Christmas and don't over pay the prices will come down

Overclockers is the worst scalpers company in history.
I've placed an order with the competitor for 5900x. The order is delayed to next year but they've offered me to upgrade to 5950x at retail price which is £110 cheaper than getting from here.
I went for the upgrade this morning. The CPU is dispatched and will be delivered tomorrow.

Pretty surprises by the increased prices... called a competitor who also has a significant mark up and they tried to tell me it is because they have to "recover" their costs as they allegedly paid more to have stock before other people have it... I don't believe that for one second.

I dont believe for a second OC paid extra penny to secure stock.
Guys even auction site is selling 5090x less than OC

But what's worth more to you, £110 or a pack of Haribo?

No-one is coming out of this particularly well, both AMD and Nvidia generated lots of hype but didnt follow through with enough supply.
Online retailers are among the few to have done OK this year yet cant resist the temptation to scalp. Maybe an extra £20 on 1000 off helps their bottom line but the loss of reputation is harder to calculate. It's not like they have a hard job just moving product from goods-in to couriers.
RRPs can be found via AMD or Nvidias own sites and are even lower than some people are thinking let alone some of the outrageous selling prices.
The 5900x is still scarce but as each needs two CCDs and was reviewed more positively than the 5800x it's no surprise.

I guess the loss in reputation will definitely hurt them more on a long term basis. After the mess of their pre-order system screwing me over I've jumped on one of the strongest hate trains of my life. It's a joke that I got more updates from Tesco this year than I did from OCUK and their 'every Friday email'

It's too late for me to cancel my order but I'd recommend people avoid OCUK for a while
