Ryzen 5950X low single core scores in Cinebench R15&R20

As the title states, low single core scores by about 3-5%. the |CPU itself is a beast compared to the 3950X is like another planet :). So far I have tried every possible thing up to a new Win10 installation. I just installed a brand new updated and driver ready Win10 and again same results.

setup:

Phanteks P300 Mesh
Asus 570-P - PRIME X570-P BIOS 2812 - AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.1.0.0 Patch C (exactly same results except IF 1900 with Patch B)
MSI Gaming Trio X 1080ti
Ryzen 9 5950X
Arctic II 280mm AIO push/pull
Team Group "8Pack Edition" 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 4133MHz@3800MHz IF 1900

I have tried every possible combination in the bios, so far best is everything auto except the memory and IF which is set at 1900/3800.

Bellow you can see the results from the clean Win10 install, multi core is up a notch, but the dreaded single core is still very low compared to others. Computer runs smooth as a butter, cool fast and still fairly quite. But the idea that sc score is low is driving me crazy already for 3 days straight.

Any input will be greatly appreciated :)

Already have that on the old Win10 installation :)

The CPU is boosting normally even more then normally :), but single score is still low.

Cant revert bios with the Asus X570P. But have tested on that as well, see bellow.

See above screenshots, Yes it boosts to over 5GHz with or without PBO. This has nothing to do with the silicon lottery term at all. This is only concerning Cinebench.

Temps are fine, only when using AVX do spike to 85, but in general use gaming 50-65, so that is not the issue. When rendering, boost keeps up even if temps go over 85. The Arctic 280 is a great AIO, I don't bother ramping it up even when benching. temps stay reasonable. The only upgrade will be a custom with a chiller, but good chillers tend to go for over a grand.

Finally got just 2 sticks and it seems all is better, will need to test. Starting to think that Asus last few bios updates are complete crap and not having the option to revert to an older version makes it even crappier. Considering getting a B550 or X570 MSI Unify don't know. A bit stretched with the purchase.

Just checked Win10 is 1909, when checking for an update says version 2004 is on its way :). Spent far too much time in testing, for now I just enjoy and that's it. Overall the culprit seems to be the bios :), will wait to see if better bios comes up in month or so, otherwise will be getting B550 Unify when comes available.

Found a way to manually update to the latest Win10 version if not offered from Windows Update. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

ps. Looking for a good set of 32GB DDR4 to pair with the IF 2000.

From my extensive testing nearly one week now, there are few things that stand out:

1. Higher multi core results directly corelate to lower single core.
2. CPU seems to be run hot and boosting lower when temps go above 80c. Looking to build custom water loop now.
3. Undervolting by 0.075v yielded nearly same results.
4. Running at 1800,1900 or 2000IF and 1:1 is no issue. Ram speed and latencies seem quite impressive at max IF of 2000MHz.

IF=1800

IF=1900

IF=2000

5. Windows 10 type, version or freshness does not affect performance. Upgraded to Windows 10 Enterprise Version 20H2. Exactly same results as Windows 10 PRO Version 1909.

Could it be too aggressive LLC? Try to set it to maximum vdroop (resulting in higher voltage at low single core load and lower voltage at multicore)

Impressive latency, but what is wrong with the bclk? Why does it show 98.5 in all 3 aida screens?
Is there such thing as drooping bclk under load? Because that would explain lower than expected performance

Will try the LLC, at the moment are set at max.

Not sure why BCLK is like that, currently is at 100.

The review samples getting 640-650 were just mega binned for single thread. Also nobody is getting retail cpus that can do that. I have both 5600 and 5900x and neither can do 5.1 single core on stock like some review samples were doing.

Not really, with the new beta bios from Asus I have much better scores. Also I keep 5050-5100 for longer in single treads,. here is a screenshot from R23, compared to the last bios results are far better with same settings apart from CO -10.

Asus 570X-P bios versions - 2802/12

5950X Stock+PBO, RAM 4x8GB @3600MHz 16-16-16-36 1T

Multi 27743 pts
Single 1580 pts

And the new beta bios 2816:

Multi 29581 pts
Single 1648 pts

You are getting into the conspiracy theory realm which is not existent :). A friend of mine got a review sample from AMD, mine runs better :) (on his sponsored Godlike MB), so that's that. Mother board support is a different story and Asus sucks for this. All of the initial reviews were done on high end Gygabyte,MSI and Asus. That's why I got so frustrated with my results not matching others. All is bios/motherboard support nothing else.

Buildzoid rambles far too much, probably its an age thing.

Im at work so cant post screens, i got my 5950X on friday afternoon...
Specs in sig...

PBO set to Motherboard everything else set to Auto and Curve set to Negative 20.
Max CPU core speed is 5040 in HWINFO. Cinebench R20 single core speed was around 629, boost hit 4.9ghz on one or two cores during that run.
Seems to be getting similar scores to what ive seen on here but my FSB shows as 99.8 instead of 100, ive tried turning off spread spectrum as suggested elsewhere but made no difference, anyone else got a Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570... do you see the same thing, HWNFO and CPU-Z both show 99.80 for the FSB, the BLCK and FLCK are showing correctly as 1800 but ram speed in HWNFO and CPU-Z again show low at 1797mhz?

Dont worry its normal, mine some starts is 100 solid some hovering around 99-100.

Try CO -5 - -10, on the X570-P over that needs + offset over 0.050v. I also use CPU-Z bench for faster overview of good settings. My overall scores are 695 and 13150 which represents the above R23 results.
