I was maybe interested until I heard about only one CCD having access to the bigger cache. As soon as I heard that it was just kind of meh. I've got a 3900 at the moment and it already kind of feels awkward due to not being quite enough cores in one CCD and then you get the penalty going across them.

Yeah definitely an awkward situation when it just goes up randomly when you expected a different time.

I'm surprised there just hasn't been much word about it, usually overclockers have been pretty good on the forum responding about what time products are going up, how much stock and so on.

Going from a 3-core 16MB ccx to 8-core 96MB is still pretty insane ;D

Behaves like 4x3 because the CCX's aren't connected to each other despite being on the same die. It was a really silly interim design before they fixed it on zen 3
