At another competitor I was refreshing the page to find it instantly, added it to the cart when it showed up, and told me it was sold out as soon as I got to the checkout. Didn't even get as far as paypal. Couldn't find it in the search of other sites either.

I was allowed to log in to PayPal, but after that just kicked me out to empty basket
I have one pre ordered from ocUK, but not a fan of waiting till end of March.
 
Hopefully mine is shipped tomorrow. For anyone who couldn’t get one I’m selling my 5800x3D through the members market in the next few days :P

Had the worst bin 7950X possible and wouldn't even do 2033Mhz FCLK either. Hopefully that luck changes tomorrow.
 
They're shipping some orders from earlier, probably first in first out and haven't reached my 10:12 order yet. Stock status changed at 10:20 - 10:25 or so? No hope for 2pm's i'm afraid

I dunno if I want to wait, at that point I might try for a 7800 or alternatively just wait anyway for discounts later. As soon as you start waiting you might as well wait more.

my order was at 10:01. I just checked now, its currently still on ordered status but Im hoping that will change soon enough!
 
Mine still has not been despatch whilst others who ordered at the same time have, I've got a sneaky suspicion that mine ia now on the pre order list but can't see anything anywhere to confirm
 
He makes some good points....

Where Intel win its usually old games where you don't need the extra performance and where AMD win its in new games where the extra frame rates do help.
The 3D chips will only get better over time as more new games come out and as more people program for this architecture, which does have huge potential.
The 7950X3D uses less than half the power vs the 13900K in games.
You don't need $250 ram to get the most out of it.
