Will you be purchasing the 7800X3D on the 6th?

No it won't. The 7950x3d already unlocks *some* extra performance at 4k from an rtx4090. 4k traditionally is only considered a GPU bottleneck because the frametimes have been so long that a slow CPU has enough time to process the next frame. But GPU are now reaching the level where the CPU has more work to do even at 4k. I'll take you a beT right now that a 9950x3d will be significantly faster than a 7950x3d at 4k with an rtx6090
Νah it won't. Unless you are talking about easy to run games, the cyberpunks and the hogwarts of the time will be gpu bound. There will be a difference in lighter games of course, but unless you have something like a 4k 240hz monitor it's kind of pointless.

After seeing the results of the 7950x3d i can see why amd didnt do a 5950x3d.
7800x3d is the one gamers are gonna be on the hunt for, i suspect the delay is to build up stock

Nah, 5800X3D, dirt cheap am4 board and dirt cheap ddr4, coupled with 3080 class GPU is where the money/market is.

7800X3D, AM5, DDR5 board, way too expensive for the masses, for very little gains on 3080 class GPU's.

Zen4X3D, IMO, is only worth it with a 4090, where you'll actually see a difference. You'll not notice a blind bit of difference between Zen3X3D/Zen4X3D with lesser GPU's, certainly not one worth spending £300+ more on.

I have done a fair bit of overclocking over the years and memory overclocking has been the most infuriating.

I felt like I needed one of those posters they put up in the work place with the number of days since the last accident.

"It has been these many days since the PC did some weird ****."

Stress tests just let me know it wasn't terribly unstable, but I could go weeks with unstable settings without knowing it, only to have it tap me on the shoulder or slap me in the face and often at the worst possible time.
If you do the right stress tests for long enough to ensure it’s stable you shouldn’t have an issue. 1Usmus and Ycruncher are two I’d recommend using.

Hi there

Thought you guys deserved an update, I have been off past couple of days, celebrating the other half birthday so a nice fancy weekend for her.
I left instructions for the CPU's to be put live 2pm or later, unfortunately the CPU's got batched together with other products been uploaded by a PM and hence their early appearance, once the mistake was discovered they were pulled down and re-launched after 2pm as per original schedule.

7950X 3D - We only had a small batch which sold out in seconds, similar happened everywhere, this CPU been flagship is very popular. We expect more stock between mid-end March, so far we have pre-sold 100+ but I do have 500+ on back order which I placed during CES.
7900X 3D - We have these in stock still and are selling steadily, we don't expect these to sell out as we have far greater stock and several hundred more landing next week.

Why i cant pair 7950x3d and 4080 on 1440p UW,can you explain

I’m a sim racer and wanting to upgrade.

I’ve a 3090 running triple 1440p. I’m happy to buy a 7950x3d. Would there be a benefit over a 5800x3d?

I’m on a 4th gen i7 intel right now.

You can - you'll just need a 4090 to see a noticeable difference between a 5800X3D and 7800/7950X3D IMO. With less than 4090 power, the differences are minuscule. This is why the majority of reviews all used 4090's to test.

The Curve Optimiser is a great tool, its not difficult to use, you can tune each core individually like i have in the screenshot below or a one for all global setting in about 3 clicks in the BIOS.

Its really clever tech, Standard Undervolting you're only affecting the power consumption at the top end, Curve Optimiser tunes the power curve right across the load range.

Its worth watching the whole video here but i have time imprinted it to the important bit.

Doing this my CPU has gone from 130 to 100 watts and gained 6% performance in R23, more in games because the load is not so high and the curve knows it has more headroom.

Why do have different magnitudes for each core ?

Im on 7600x now,i think its good upgrade

Every core has different headroom for curve tuning. If you apply all-core curve, you will be limited to lowest common denominator (in this case 14, still not too bad).
Of course testing stability for every core is quite tedious and not always reliable.

Thanks for the update @Gibbo . Any chance you could check if my order will be included in the next batch please? My order shows as timestamp "10:24:20".

Cheers
