You get better consistency yeah in areas that are CPU heavy you don't get the drops or at least they don't drop nearly as much I noticed that when I switched to 5800x3d, its a smoother experience.

Crown would be a bit extreme but it is still awesome as a CPU. It wins on very cache heavy games. However where frequency and cores come into play it’s certainly not the best. It’s running at 4.85 GHz with no option to go beyond 8 cores when it’s needed. Once the cache comes into play it wins.
Yes it wins out on gaming vs Intel. I was referring to the 7950X3D not that we would ever notice a difference at higher resolutions except in some core heavy games like cyberpunk.
Why did you mention 8 cores and 4.85ghz if referencing the 7950x?Because the 7950X3D is running 5.25 GHz on the 8 core 3D cache CCD and it can also scale to 16 cores when needed which some games do need. The 7800X3D is running 4.85 GHz according to GN.
i doubt that's the case at all because the 7800x3d is literally doing better on games that use 3d cache
Yes something needs to be investigated more. Either it’s boosting higher (that would have been observed and it wasn’t) or they haven’t ironed out the scheduling right so we should see a boost coming in further updates.
