The next 2 weeks are a waiting game for me. After that I'm away on holiday for a week. I ordered a 7950x3d on 1st March along with a few other bits and pieces so I'm hoping they arrive before my holiday starts.

The first 30 as promised are just in our goodsin area and been located by goodsin guys to get booked in at which point the first 30 orders will be shipped this afternoon.

The next 470 are still on forecast estimate shipment into distribution end of this week, so if this estimate comes true, we expect to get those next week which will cover most back orders, the next estimate is an additional 300 later this month.

Let me make something key and important, all ETA's are estimations given by AMD and distributors, the end outcome is out of our control, so fingers crossed. :)
 
Thanks for the update Gibbo!

Had a shipping update for an order this morning (super fast btw I only ordered it yesterday I think), but then realised it was for an additional case fan I need :cry:

Based on Gibbo's update above, I expect most of us might be lucky enough to get our CPU early next week in the bigger shipment. All subject to AMD and distributor shipping into Overclockers as estimated of course!

Hi Gibbo, are there any 7950X3D's on that delivery as well? Or just the 7800's coming in?

I'm putting together an entirely new build with the 7800X3D as the centre piece. Moving towards SFF with NR200P as the case of choice as it looks like fantastic value.

In terms of options for motherboards, I have seen the following:

MSI MPG B650I EDGE WIFI - £259
Asus ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI - £289
Asus ROG STRIX X670E-I GAMING WIFI - £417
ASRock B650E PG-ITX WIFI - £296

I can safely discount the Asus ROG STRIX X670E-I as I refuse to pay £417 for a motherboard. Can also discount the ASRock B650E as I hate the red design. This leaves the MSI MPG B650I and Asus ROG STRIX B650E-I - thoughts on either of these (unless there are other options of course)?

In terms of RAM, I keep seeing recommendations for the G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo DDR5-6000 CL300 which comes in at £212. Will likely go with this unless there are any obvious downsides or better options.

If you search around for the ram you should find it much cheaper than that by the way, I picked it up last week for £173 all in (new).

Unsure of any of those motherboards to help with that question though unfortunately!
