Poll: Ryzen 7950X3D, 7900X3D, 7800X3D

Will you be purchasing the 7800X3D on the 6th?

So I just decided to upgrade and grabbed a 7800X3D (as well as a motherboard and 32GB of DDR5 6000MHz RAM), and wow, I'm seriously impressed with the gaming performance from this CPU, it made my 5900X (that I upgraded from) look seriously outdated, everything feels so smooth it's unreal.

Set the CO to -30 all cores off the bat, no issues so far, I've rarely seen the CPU go beyond 60c when gaming (with Peerless Assassin 120 SE cooler), though I only set it all up about 6 hours ago, so let's see how it goes.
Have you done any stress testing? -30 all core is a lot. run y cruncher with options 1-7-0, if it passes after 10-15 hours you're good.

@LtMatt Tried 364 but error very soon. Ran this over night and again today to be sure.

What do you recommend for the other voltages such as VDDIO MC?

Thanks again for the help with this.
Do you mean RFC? I didn't suggest 364. 372 is as low as it should go. RDRD SD/DD to 7, and WRWR SD/DD to 8. That's it.

VDDIO depends. Some samples can leave it at 1.2v - 1.25v, however some might need it up at 1.4v. Depends on your chip. I have mine at 1.172v but not all will do that.

Yes RFC 364 was something suggested by someone else. It didn’t work.

The only thing left is FCLK. Is there a specific one I should use for 6000, or is it simply a case of testing and finding what’s best? I have seen people mention 2167 for 6200 for example, but nothing for 6000.

Pushing to 6200 at tcl 26 will be something I might try but will need better cooling first.

Higher is usually better. Check bandwidth increases and latency reduces in Aida64. Not many can do 2200 stable, some can do 2167. Most do 2133Mhz or lower. 2000 is a good match for 6000, but if you can go higher up to 2100 and performance scales then use that.

Thank you once again for your help. I think you would be a massive loss to this forum. Hopefully you are still around for years to come.

Has anyone with a 7950x3d played CSGO? My son play this today and it was very slight stuttering every few seconds.
Yep I have this problem. The novice csgo players dont spot it but for me I spot it as used to play counter strike dating back to counter strike 1.6....

I can't find a fix for it can you let me know when you do please?

I thought it was maybe just the 7950x3d and I tried disabling game mode, high performance power plan and even Process Lasso because I’ve heard it might favour the non 3d. All with no luck unfortunately.

Seems like from what you’ve said it’s not just the 7950x3d.

If I find something I will let you know of course, and you the same please.

It’s very subtle but it’s definitely there.

Yeah mine is very subtle to a point if you don't play CSGO often you wouldn't notice it. I don't have any issues like this on any other game at all. Hopefully Counter Strike 2 won't have the problem

When putting CSGO on the high performance from balanced power plan there was no difference. I even tried Process Lasso and put the game on the frequency ccd but it made things much worse.
