Nice to play with you Tom , i came top and decided to do a screenshot.. Quit the game and well the prt,scrn doesn't work on stalker beta :eek: :(
 
Wtf im already a fileplanet subscriber, ive signed in and when i try to get the beta its like tis trying to get me to sign up for another account. :confused:
 
How did you get the beta? All it says on the Fileplanet website is

"FilePlanet Subscribers: look forward to joining our exclusive S.T.A.L.K.E.R. beta coming soon. We can't wait to play this FPS." :confused:
 
The environments are ok, not as good as HL2, but the gun textures are in my opinion woeful, and this is on maximum everything....hope its just a beta issue

I'll take some screens when i get home, if nobody beats me to it
 
Yep, played this last night as a friend got a beta key and I can definately say, I won't be buying this. It probably would have been alright if they released it two or three years ago or whenever it was, but it just looks so outdated now. I had it at 1680x1050 and it still looked ****.

I don't know what cremeegg is talking about, this game looks amazing. It is quite a bit better than HL2, very gritty, and the textures are simply amazing. OK it is no Crysis and has a very different style (as i said, gritty) but i don't like shiny graphics all that much anyway.
 
So the gfx do look outdated but not to the point where there not acceptable, you guys will see its a lot more about the gameplay and immersion than the gfx in this games case.
 
at least it will run on older systems as well :D

im looking foward to it... graphics only make up 40% of a game anyway. Takes a lot more than shiney gfx to make me wanna play it for longer than a week :)

thats my opinion anyway...
 
anyone expecting benchmarl shiny gfx look elsewhere the gfx were designed to be gritty, its not the gfx im buying this for its the atmosphere and environment, oh and the fact ive waited 5 years for it :rolleyes: :D .
