How on Earth do you guys say the graphics are worse than HL2's :confused:

Stalker without AA looks better than HL2 with 16xAAQ!

I've not played the beta or anything, but am anxiously awaiting this game...

But the more I look at it, the less I think of the graphics! I honestly don't think the graphics are very good, not for this generation of games anyway. It still seems a bit Call of Duty to me, and is only as good as Half Life 2 - not better.

But still, the graphics aren't the reason I'm looking forward to this game so I'm not exactly dissapointed.

Well of course its gonna have poor graphics, its been in devlopment for so long. When they started the first ever screenshots, the graphics were considerd by the majority of people as amazingly good.

They are the most realistic i have seen from any FPS out at the moment. You have to look past/welcome the grittyness to appreciate it.

Will probably have to play over hamatchi, if that still works!!

Hmph, well hopefully there will be another way by tomoz when my GTS arrives.

Nope even for a LAN game you need to enter the cd key, so if you dont have a cd key the new client is useless to you

grrrr and i've just dl'd the demo!

Google for Hamatchi Zefan, basically lets you "fake" a lan connection using the internet.

The graphics definately aren't impressive, but let me tell you I really enjoy just walking through the mapslistening to the sounds and being impressed with the lighting, even on MP maps it's very immersive, I can really see this being an atmopsheric game, the weather and other environmental effects are fantastic.
