S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat benchmark

Its Ultra DX11 - The bench sets it to 1920x1200 ;)

IIRC

"Basic" is 1024X786
"Advanced" is 1280X1024
"High" is 1680X1050
"Ultra" is 1920X1200

I'm seeing a lot of highs/ultras on lower res and vise versa.

Also, I only said it really because those look WAY to high to be real for 1920 D:

I guarantee you that those scores are not from Ultra at 1920x1200. They're either fake or running at an incredibly low resolution, either way the scores are worthless.

They are NOT fake and ARE runinng at 1920x1200 - I guarantee it ;)

I got a tad suspicios when i looked at what I was getting (around 15k) and then what the official top score was (around 30k) - After realising how they were doing it (not that I agree with it) I gave it a go and low and behold the figures shown - they are not fake and are running at 1920x1200 - I can replicate the inflated high scores for any of teh "Rate Benchmark" settings - it takes about 2 minutes.

As I say I dont necesarrily agree with it but was wondering how the Official Top100 scores were so far over what appeared achievable with a decent rig :D

edit Top 100 scores HERE

And I agree they are worthless, but this bench allows you to do it and get your scores submitted :(

For me it was the ati drivers 9.11 that got stupid high frame rates.
After installing 9.12 they nosedived but it looks better.

ati 5850:
full max settings 1920x1200:
9.11: 460 maxfps

9.12: 44 maxfps

:D

Hello there ;)

Did a run of the test and here is what i got with a 4850 on DX 10 :)

Aren't both 'scored' runs in High? It will only score and submit at certain settings (Ultra requires 1920x1200 IIRC) and I have a 1920x1080 screen so it won't score an ultra run! However, simply running without submitting seems to apply the settings OK.

Thought I'd test it again since changing my graphics card.

All settings in the nvidea control panel are either maxed or application controlled, all settings within the benchmark were set to the highest 1920x1200 etc.., apart from being able to only run Dx10. Min, avg and max results follow : score (14662)

Day : 80.5 / 246.7 / 507.2

Night : 62.8 / 193.0 / 374.9

Rain : 82.0 / 234.2 / 468.1

Sunshafts : 87.3 / 246.3 / 505.1

Big improvement from before. Smooth as butter and run on higher settings.

Then run again with AA and AF maxed (overide application) so AA now x16 instead of x4.. in nvidea control panel. Score (14666?) don't see why higher than the last.

Day : 45.0 / 101.0 / 266.4

Night : 42.5 / 82.4 / 225.9

Rain : 43.2 / 95.1 / 258.3

Sunshafts : 44.1 / 100.5 / 264.4

Interestingly enough playing Clear Sky is so far the only game that I really feel the nvidea card being out done by my previous radeon. Upon loading the game I noticed the ATI premium graphics logo as opposed to the usual nvidea TWIMTBP.

Question about the original Stalker, my sig has my specs running at 1900 by 1200 (although i think ingame it doesnt go that high) everything set to max i get 28fps average... is that right or is there something wrong.

Something wrong.

Original Stalker with no mods should be flying with that rig, well above 100fps.

The only thing I can think of is are you forcing the absolute maximum AA in the nvidea control panel? Mind you...even then you should still get decent fps so I am not sure.

Its a strange benchmark. First time I ran it, I forgot I had MW2 minimised in the background, and managed to get 13fps(min) on the sunshafts test :D
