Those sliders do work with the patch on mine . Will fire up mine and check and get back in a while.
 
Good info folks, keep it coming.

One really basic performance fix I've discovered is to turn the grass density down to about 80%, save the game and then exit, then reload. My system should easily cope with this game, but without doing this I get framerate dips to the 40's. Having the grass slider at about 75-80% seems to sort it!! (And turning of grass shadows, which I can't really tell the difference of anyway)

Actually wanted to turn if off. But after the patch the option in game settings disappeared. Will use the console command you have provided, thanks.
Version on mine says 1.3001 as well, but moving the sliders on brightness and contrast make a visible difference on screen.
 
Can I install this second patch over the one from yesterday? Not had a chance to play yet so I'll be starting a new save regardless

Do you have SSAO turned on?


Btw, in console you can type fov 80 (or whatever number you desire), and this will change the field of view. :)
 
Currently using HBAO in Ambient Occlusion but SSAO quality is set as High. That was default when I started the game and since it ran fine and I did not bother changing it (GPU is nvidia, in case that affects those settings). Any clue what steep parallax is ?
 
Looks like I'll have to turn off grass shadows; the frames drop too low otherwise.


Edit : it's only around the rookie village, end even then it's ok some of the time. Strange.


AI (soldiers) still seems practically non-existent to me.

Just to be sure, you are not swapping between different save games while changing the settings. I did that while I was fooling around with the different graphics settings during different save game points.
 
@arc@css : how far you got in the game mate ? I am stuck on the mission about duty supplies and think i sold bits of the supplies. thought some one here might be able to help !!
