Why, why does anyone actually give a vote of confidence when regardless of it you mean it giving it immediately provides the exact opposite of confidence. For so long it's basically the opposite of a vote of confidence to the point where if you mean it this is the worst, absolutely worst, way of telling people.
This entire thing just seems quite tragic to me, Dick looks defeated and exhausted.

That's a terrible decision! Every club has a wobble at some point and good managers don't turn **** overnight, being a chairman/board of directors is about supporting a manager when things are going against them.
