Losing Stones will not be a loss. He needs to have a manager to kick his backside and stop he doing stupid ****. That needed to be done two years ago. Instead good old roberto let him do his ****. He needs someone like Fergie to have beaten him into shape but I now would take whatever stupid offer we get for him. Of all our defenders I'd mourn his loss the least. Having him there also saps the confidence in whoever plays with him. They have to be even more aware of the ****wit about to do something stupid.

Bags of potential ruined by Roberto.

Fact is he is still more than capable if he is handled properly - even now - still very young for a centre half. Rather than an unknown who may be able to get to Stones' former level/consistancy and potentially in an unknown league could easily take longer if at all.

You dont think Stones and Lukaku will leave Everton  or have I mis-read that?

Whether they do or not, Everton isn't a "selling club" line Southampton are, we probably stand to lose the core of the team yet again in Wanyama, Mané, Pelle and maybe even others like Long if people are throwing money around. Players treat Southampton as a useful stepping stone in a way that doesn't happen as much at a club like Everton.

I would say they are as much of a selling club as Soton. Soton just tend to have more players that clubs actually want. I don't understand how Everton possibly selling their two must marketable players wouldn't make them a selling club.

Since Shaw things have dried up a bit, JWP is average and we don't really have anyone else good enough for the first team (maybe apart from Gallagher and Targett if given the chance).

Southampton have one of the best youth academys in Europe though so are always bringing through raw talent

everton don't have that

Perhaps you missed the players Everton have had come through and sold recently, with more to go soon :D in fact I bet on sale total they can't touch us.

So united and Arsenal are also selling clubs. Especially Arsenal, both get cherry picked for the best players??

Arsenal definitely are (more so in the past than lately) United a lot harder to argue. I mean Ronaldo yeah but that was a long time ago. Di Maria perhaps but he wasn't even playing for us and LvG seemed happy to get rid of him.

But then on further thought a selling club is one that does it to take profit or balance the books because of debt. Or they just want to take money from a club? So really Arsenal and United aren't, but then neither are Everton any longer.
