I believe LvG can save his job if we win on Saturday. Although it won't be Champions League football we could still be playing European football next season.

So do I. After all he got 66 points, the same as Man City and will win the FA cup. I'm not convinced he's going anywhere.

LvG taking the **** in his post match interview. Expectations too high, come off it.

Sounds less than confident about whether he'll be here next season, thankfully.

Has to be a goner.

Don't read too much into it at this point - it only leads to disappointment

EW could easily blindside everyone and do something beyond comprehension ......

I'm mentally preparing myself for him to sack LvG which will make every united fan on the planet deliriously happy. Then 2 days later he will present Giggs as the new manager and everyone will sink back into their seats and prepare for another season of **** and an even worse league position.

Good move, should have the league wrapped up but it'll be in Europe he'll get a lot experience. Best of luck to him

Di Matteo and Steve Clarke have joined Villa. Have to say that's probably the most exciting thing I've heard in a long time regarding Villa. If we can sign a few decent players I might start looking forward to next season.

Basically that.

The 'project' at Everton probably has a better outlook than Southampton.

I think you also have to consider the relative difficulties, regardless of what gets spent by the club, it will be difficult to better the past two seasons at Southampton whilst staying there. He has to finish 5th or win a cup to better things (whilst no doubt losing key players again). That's with Europa football providing an extra drain on the squad.

Everton has no European drain, loads of money to spend, a squad that could probably already play at top 6 level with half decent management and less likelihood of selling off and all he has to do is finish top 8 to be seen as a big improvement on this season. He could go there and make himself look fantastic without even getting out of bed.

The money he is being offered is insane, disappointing but we'd all take it. Will be interesting to see his replacement, we have improved each and every time this has happened so will have to give them the benefit of the doubt for now (please not Howe though).

You dont think Stones and Lukaku will leave Everton  or have I mis-read that?

Dont get me wrong Stones wasnt brilliant last season but imo still going to be a major loss, and Lukaku definitely will go too

Also the full backs are getting on a litlte bit (Baines is 31 and Coleman must be nearly there). Not writing them off but its going to start getting tougher for Baines for sure. GK situation also has to be resolved (ie get someone to compete directly with Robles, or spend big on a better known player)

Heart of a good team but even being out of Europe it could be tougher than you indicate for a new manager (even one experienced in the EPL like Koeman)

edit - was (unfortunately) thinking of what the odds were on Mourinho being fired before May 2017 :(
