*** Saints Row 2 - Official Thread ***

Graphics aren't that bad, really enjoying this game, lots to do, canny physics here and there and plenty of laughs. I'm 15 missions in, and with the introduction of checkpoints making it more enjoyable (hate re-treading the same steps ala GTA4 and SR1) it's a 7 or an 8 out of ten so far for me.
Love the music too, some cracking tunes
 
This game is brilliant and frustrating in equal measures, but I have to say so far I'm loving all the activities, the Trailblazer ones especially.
 
I'm used to the driving now. My main gripe with it is that I haven't been able to do a proper handbrake turn.

Only done the get out of jail mission. I've been hammering the activities all day trying to make the missions a tad easier ;)

So far unlocked unlimited sprint, take less damage in cars, faster regen health and lose cops quicker :)

Well I don’t know the game feels very different from GTA (well I suppose that’s what they want) and I can’t seem to get to grips with the controls at all they seem so wrong and don’t get me on the driving WOW its so bad, the graphics looks bad and so does the game play, I mean starting off trying to get out of Jail I couldn’t believe how bad it was, doesn’t have a patch on GTA for me I’m afraid.

Maybe I need to give it more time and let it sink in.

Go into options and change the control scheme as there is one which mirrors GTA. You will find that easier if it's what you are used to.

I must admit that there are things in this game which would have really worked well in GTA but overall it's missing the quality finish which you get with a GTA title... still enjoying it though.
 
Just had a real laugh, shot a guy through his car windscreen and when I got in, he stayed in too, with my driving style we ended the ride with his corpse bouncing around in the back seat! :D

Goto the crib thats underground and wander around it has rooms that let you do so. The Kobras are awesome btw and ive hardly played it :D
 
samurai sword ***, riding along on motorbike slicing pedestrians in half on the pavement. It may be not as polished as gta4 but it is certainly a lot more fun. GT is below if anyone is up for some co-op.
 
i might get this , seems a lot more fun than gta which although i completed i never played it again.

ive never played saints row before so im a bit unsure which console i should get it on , i was thinking the 360 as i hav'nt played on it for ages ?
