Saints Row IV

Seriously?...

to those that are praising SR3, did you even play or look at what SR2 was like?

SR3 was nothing short of robbery, absolute let down.

All this will be is what was left out of SR3 before it got sold on.

Stick with SR2 until they at least make it on par with that with the "new" engine.

This, totally this, won't be the same without Gat though :(

Weirdly enough I never got on with Saints Row 2, can't even remember why now. The 3rd one is a great destresser, it's like all the mad bits of early GTAs condensed and hopped up on every drug going.

I'm not even sure why I have the third one, I think it came in that THQ pack as I know I wouldn't have bought it based on my experiences of 2.

Don't get me wrong it's a crazy game, but when you make a new game in the franchise it HAS to be better, they went backwards and left out a lot of the things that was loved in SR2, clothing for example SR fans were promised that SR3 would build upon the customization which was a flat out lie it went backwards and took away many many options and customizations.

I do like the new engine, but it felt like a half assed rushed job just to get $$$ so much left out and forgotten that could have easily made it one of the best games for this gen of consoles.

and that reason alone is why I wont bother with IV, I'm starting to get tired of devs & publishers taking the P out of customers and fans.

But from the looks of it most people enjoyed Saints Row 3 quite a lot, so I don't think they feel they have had the 'p' taken out of them.

For me at least, customisation is not very important at all. I only changed clothing once throughout SR3, and only made a few custom cars before I got bored of it.

This is exactly the way the franchise needs to go. It's slowly gotten more and more nuts throughout the series and now they are really trying to separate themselves from being labeled a GTA clone, and it looks epic!

Apparently this was in development before the release of SR3, uses same engine etc and isn't a graphical update but they realised they could do way more with the engine than they had done.

Looking forward to it but the download price v physical price is insane, £40 for download versus £25 for physical and both have the same pre-order bonus.
